The position involves reserve reviews, quarter close and year-end deliverables, and support the PCS business. They will partner with other actuaries in implementing best practices, analytical techniques, and assessing the impact of loss trends and claims emergence.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform and communicate the Private Client Select reserve review.\nComplete trend studies and collaborate with Pricing Actuaries and Underwriting to evaluate emerging loss experience.\nAnalyze loss trends and claims emergence to assess reserve adequacy and identify key drivers of change.\nCollaborate with Claims and Underwriting to review large losses on a monthly basis.\nProvide actuarial support for quarterly closing activities and year-end financial reporting.\nSupport the Global AvE process.\nPartner with other actuaries to implement reserving best practices and analytical methodologies.\nWork effectively as part of a team and mentor any junior staff to support financial, strategic, and operational objectives.\nCollaborate with Data and Technology teams to drive process improvements and support actuarial transformation initiatives.\nPerform ad hoc analyses and other duties as required.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.\n3+ years of P&C actuarial experience, with reserving experience strongly preferred.\nACAS credential or near-ACAS completion.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.\nDemonstrated drive to continuously learn, innovate, and improve processes.\nAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nExperience with VBA, SQL, Snowflake, or other programming languages strongly preferred.\nWillingness to learn new programming languages, technologies, and tools as needed.\nEffective organizational and time management skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.\nStrong business acumen and collaboration skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.\nFor positions based in New York , the base salary range is $109,000-$135,000. For positions based in New Jersey, the base salary range is $105,000-130,000. The position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
