General Insurance offers a broad range of products to customers through a diversified, multichannel distribution network.\nAbout the role\nWhat you need to know:\nContribute to the strategic development of our Multinational portfolio;\nDevelop and lead broker relationships establishing accretive pipelines, and for cross selling opportunities across the AIG network.\nWork cross functionally with other areas in AIG to achieve corporate objectives.\nWork within agreed decision-making standards, limitations, authorities and underwriting guidelines.\nWorking collaboratively in a team environment including development and training of junior staff\nAchieve satisfactory ratings on all underwriting quality reviews.\nEnsure all corporate service standards are maintained to both brokers & internal colleagues.\nAbility to prioritize workload and to use own initiative for both internal and external issues.\nMaintain and develop strong broker and client relationships.\nSupport the culture of continuous improvement in all areas including improving processes to make the business more efficient and creating an environment where people are encouraged to take initiative and responsibility.\nIdentify and develop client focused products and strategies.\nReinsurance capabilities and solutions driven\nWhat we’re looking for:\nEducation preferred: Engineering Degree or equivalent.\nExperience in property underwriting experience and strong technical insurance knowledge, with particular focus on the international market. Terrorism underwriting experience is an advantage.\nMultinational experience and knowledge of local markets/regulations advantageous.\nExcellent interpersonal, written communication skills including delivery of presentations to all levels of stakeholders, including claims and distribution (both broker and client engagement).\nProven ability to build relationships with brokers and clients.\nAn appreciation and understanding of legal/regulatory requirements\nGood organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize workload.\nProven ability to lead client and broker negotiations.\nHighly numerate.\nCompetent in IT packages.\nFluent in English (written and spoken)\nAt AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
