AIG

American International Group is an insurer founded in Shanghai in 1919 that grew into one of the largest financial institutions in the world before its near-collapse in 2008, when losses on credit default swaps written against mortgage securities forced the largest government rescue of a single company in American history. It has spent the years since dismantling that conglomerate, separating its life and retirement business as Corebridge and selling numerous units, and it now concentrates on commercial property and casualty insurance. Headquartered in New York, it is a considerably smaller and simpler company than the one that failed.

At AIG, we are reimagining the way we help customers to manage risk. Join us as a Director, Global Pricing & Financial Operations to play your part in that transformation. It’s an opportunity to grow your skills and experience as a valued member of the team.

Make your mark in Warranty

AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals. We are reimagining how we help customers to manage risk, transforming our operating model, and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways. The goal is to unlock the full potential in each colleague - empowering our people to grow as insurance professionals and add more value to our customers and AIG.

The Director, Global Pricing & Financial Operations is a key leadership role within AIG Global Warranty Services responsible for pricing strategy, financial planning, reporting, and operational execution across AIG's global warranty portfolio. This position partners closely with client-facing teams and business leaders to support profitable growth, product launches, pricing integrity, and scalable global operations.

How you will create an impact

  • Partner with clients, account teams, and business leaders to develop pricing strategies that support growth, profitability, and new business opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement pricing models for new and existing programs across global markets.
  • Lead pricing reviews, client pricing discussions, and implementation activities supporting new program launches and business expansion.
  • Provide financial analysis, forecasting, profitability assessments, and strategic recommendations.
  • Monitor program performance and produce management reporting, performance metrics, and portfolio insights.
  • Establish pricing controls and governance processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Information Technology, and Actuarial teams to improve reporting, automation, and operational scalability.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and present recommendations to senior leadership and clients.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Analytics, Economics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, pricing, analytics, operations, consulting, or related business disciplines.
  • Strong experience in financial modeling, pricing strategy, forecasting, accrual management, and profitability analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL; experience with Power BI, or similar reporting and analytics tools preferred.
  • Experience managing rate reviews, new product introductions, and business solution implementations.
  • Strong project management skills with experience using Agile, or similar methodologies and Jira project management tools.

Ready to take your career to the next level? We would love to hear from you.

At AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office. This approach helps us work together effectively and create a supportive, connected environment for our team and clients alike.
