The goal is to unlock the full potential in each colleague - empowering our people to grow as insurance professionals and add more value to our customers and AIG.\n The responsibilities for this role include:\nManage underwriters directly, monitoring progress on goals and objectives\nAchieve production goals including profitability. Manage monthly production process\nDrive facility and program new business opportunities\nTrack monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics, including, but not limited to: GPW, NPW, rate, new business, lost business and submissions.\nEnsure FL underwriting strategy provided by PCM is implemented in line with what required for Italy\nDevelop Financial Lines MLC Underwriting strategy to achieve a profitable growing portfolio that matches customer demand, including channel and go-to-market strategy\nEnsure that underwriters act within agreed decision making standards, limitations, and underwriting authority\nEnsure an effective referral process for accounts\nMaintain a pipeline of products for development or updating. Be aware of changes in laws pertains to insurance and/or potential relevant profit centre products.\nImplement all regional and global products that impact his line of business in a timely manner\nEnsure timely reporting of estimate performance\nEnsure compliance with key regulatory and risk management responsibilities\nRetain talented people by creating opportunities for personal development of underwriters; ensuring training of underwriters; and providing mentoring and career guidance as necessary.\nDevelop a clear sales and marketing plan for key growth lines of business\nConstantly review underwriting processes to achieve operational efficiencies\nBuild key relationships with all key brokers\nImplement and grow alternative sources of business\nEnsure Underwriting Excellence is used and accurate (Raters, Peer Reviews, AQI etc)\nWhat we’re looking for:\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.
