It’s an opportunity to grow your skills and experience as a valued member of the team.\nMake your mark in Actuarial\nOur Actuaries are on the front lines, quantifying risk, pricing insurance and reserving losses for AIG’s major insurance operating companies, globally. We collaborate with Finance, Claims, Operations, Marketing and Risk Management, among other functions. As an AIG actuary, you will be challenged and encouraged to reach your greatest potential to help improve how we predict, manage and mitigate risk.\nHow you will create an impact\nThe candidate is expected to work with analysts and experienced actuaries as part the regional reserving team to provide actuarial advice to the business functions including profit centres, underwriting, finance, and risk management. Key responsibilities include:\nAssist in local GAAP quarterly reserving and solvency estimates for local regulatory reporting for assigned APAC countries\nAssist in preparation of US GAAP quarterly management results\nAssist in preparation of annual Detailed Valuation Reviews, Insurance Liability Valuation Report and Financial Condition Report / ORSA / Stress testing\nAssist in preparation of quarterly Board and Risk committee reporting\nAssist in reviewing capital targets and investment strategies including ALM\nAssist in preparation of quarterly Investment Committee reports\nProvide support to the budget loss ratio exercise and annual financial planning\nAssist in supporting strategic portfolio reviews and deep dive analyses of certain business segments\nAssist with implementation of IFRS 17 reporting requirements\nAssist in other ad-hoc analyses as required.\nWhat you’ll need to succeed\nCandidate with Mathematics/Actuarial/Statistics/Economics or any related degree background, with some progress towards pursuing a professional actuarial qualification\n3+ years of working experience in the General insurance industry\nFamiliarity with traditional actuarial techniques and models\nAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously\nAbility to work as part of a team as well as take responsibility for his individual contribution\nAbility to meet tight deadlines and prioritize own work\nEffective time management and strong communication skills\nAbility to forge relationships with other areas of the business\nWorking knowledge on typical actuarial reserving software\nStrong knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access, knowledge of VBA & SQL, and suitable coding languages\nReady to win together?
