Join us as a Senior Tax Analyst to grow your skills and experience as a valued member of the team.\nThe primary purpose of the role is to provide tax support for a portfolio of Latin American insurance entities, including assisting the direct tax quarterly reporting cycle under US GAAP, supporting the annual corporate tax/regulatory compliance, and helping to manage tax authority audits in the region.\nThe role will also partner with the business on a variety of technical issues and projects.\n\nMake your mark in Finance\nOur Finance team plays an essential role in maintaining a healthy balance sheet at AIG. It delivers significant finance support for the overall enterprise, optimizing operations, controllership, funding, and capital structure to honor our stakeholder commitments. The team’s work is invaluable to informing leadership decision making, complying with regulatory requirements, and maintaining financial discipline, transparency and controls, while providing timely and meaningful information.\n\nHow you will create an impact\nAssist local finance, external advisors and Regional tax to actively manage tax compliance by ensuring submission of statutory tax returns in an accurate and timely manner, and assist input to statutory accounts and regulatory returns, where applicable.\nAssist with quarterly US GAAP, and local GAAP statutory reporting.\nAssist finance staff on technical tax issues.\nManage tax authority enquiries and audits.\nTo provide support to the Regional Tax Manager with technical tax questions, tax opportunities, transfer pricing, and projects/ transactions.\nCo-ordinate with in-house tax specialist teams, such as indirect tax, employment taxes and transfer pricing, as required.\nAssist with tax reform in the Region.\nTo ensure best practices/policies and consistent procedures are applied in jurisdiction.\n\nKey Capabilities\nSolid accounting knowledge with local/ regional tax experience.\nBring best practices, policies, and procedures to the organization.\nFlexible self-starter with strong organization skills showing attention to detail.\nResponsive to time pressure and ability to work to agreed deadlines and objectives.\nAble to identify, assess and communicate relevant issues on a timely basis.\nAbility to mentor and coach.\nStrong customer service skills.\n\nWhat you’ll need to succeed\nCertified public accountant.\nGood level of Regional LATAM tax experience in the Insurance industry or financial services.\nExperience: 2 years+ in similar positions.\nExperience with complex technical activities within a regulated environment.\nIntermediate Spanish and English - writing and reading.\nExperience of negotiating with tax authorities.\n\nReady to take your career to the next level?
