Because of your influence, whether direct or indirect, we are able to deliver powerful outcomes for our clients.\nThis role will contribute to the growth of UK Financial Lines by: driving the business plans for our business development through - Underwriting new and renewal business; developing and maintaining relationships with existing brokers; assisting in C product development and thought leadership; and executing the annual FL strategies.\nHow you'll make an impact\nMeet individual underwriting expectations to help team achieve budgeted financial objectives.\nUnderwrite within agreed decision making standards, limitations, and underwriting authority\nAssess desirability of risk through analysis of financial reports and accounts (as required)); regular contact with broker; thorough review of proposal; and review of claims history and general company information \nUse designated Underwriting system(s) to streamline underwriting and information-tracking approach across Profit Centre. Input required data consistently and accurately \nProvide accurate monthly Management information including, but not limited to, submissions, bind rate, average premium, and total premium as required\nProvide excellent service to brokers through consistent, timely, and proactive approach to underwriting\nExhibit sales orientated behaviours, defined by Management as: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable\nGenerate new business by expanding broker network, attending broker events, and building new relationships across the market\nEstablish sales plan with Manager to identify brokers, products, and countries to target\nAttack the renewal list. If an account is lost, seek explanation from broker \nLiaise with PIU and Operations as policy and/or booking issues arise\nBuild relationships with brokers by attending and organising regular broker events\nEnsure all brokers and clients are treated fairly\nEnsure customer-centric approach\nEnsure contract certainty\nConduct self-audit as required\nEnsure compliance with key regulatory and risk management responsibilities\nWhat you'll need to succeed\nSome underwriting experience is desired; other relevant professional experience may substitute for underwriting experience\nStrong communication skills\nTime management - ability to handle multiple priorities, organise work and meet deadlines\nAbility to analyse financial statements\nAbility to network and build relationships\nOrganizational skills\nCustomer and sales focused\nTenacious, motivated, proactive\nReady to take the next wtep in your career?
