The goal is to unlock the full potential in each colleague - empowering our people to grow as insurance professionals and add more value to our customers and AIG.\nHow you will create an impact\nThe candidate must have the ability to underwrite property risks across the spectrum of E&S business while providing leadership, direction, and technical guidance to the team and maintaining a balanced portfolio across both primary and excess placements.\nPosition requires the ability to underwrite 100%, primary/shared and layered, and excess structures.\nA strong understanding of current market conditions, the ability to make timely underwriting decisions, manage multiple opportunities simultaneously, and drive execution across the team are essential.\nPartner with regional leadership and peers to help shape strategy, foster a high-performing culture, and continue building a nationally recognized Lexington team.\nUnderwrite risks to maintain and profitably grow our E&S portfolio across desired business segments while supporting team production goals.\nCollaborate with colleagues internally and maintain strong visibility and relationships with wholesale trading partners.\nReview and negotiate manuscript form wordings and coverages.\nLead, coach, mentor, and develop underwriters within the zone, providing technical expertise, guidance, and support for professional growth.\nAssist with portfolio management, talent development, and execution of regional business objectives.\nWhat you'll need to succeed\nAn insurance professional with a minimum of 5 years of Commercial E&S underwriting experience.\nProven ability to underwrite risks across the spectrum of E&S business while providing leadership and direction to a team and maintaining a balanced portfolio across both primary and excess placements.\nEstablished relationships within the territory's wholesale brokerage community.\nPrior team leadership, coaching, or mentoring experience, with demonstrated success developing underwriters and fostering collaboration.\nStrong knowledge and understanding of CAT modeling, including OEP/AEP, TvAR, AAL, and Catastrophic Technical Premiums (TCPs).\nClear understanding of ISO form usage.\nAbility to influence, motivate, and drive results across a team while balancing underwriting discipline and growth objectives.\nReady to take your career to the next level? We would love to hear from you.\nFor positions based in Illinois the base salary range for this position is $120,000-$150,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. Your actual compensation will be dependent on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
