Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Cloud Platform

Global Compute builds and operates the core cloud infrastructurethatengineeringteamsrelyoneveryday.WeprovisionandmanageAWSaccountsacrossthecompany,operatethenetworkbackbonethatconnectsthem,andmaintainthesecurityguardrailsthatkeepthoseenvironmentssafe,compliant,andscalable.

What you'll get to do...

• OperateandscaleAWSproductioninfrastructure,owningthehealthofservicesthatprovision,secure,andmanageaccountsacrossGoDaddyAWSorganisations.
• Design, build,andmaintaincloudplatformcapabilitiesusingPython,CloudFormation,AWSCDK,andautomation-firstpractices.
• Drive costoptimisationinitiativesthatimproveefficiencyanddelivermeasurablebusinessimpact.Improveobservabilitythroughmonitoring,alerting,dashboards,andoperationaltooling.
• Participate inon-callrotations,leadincidentresponseefforts,anddrivelong-termreliabilityimprovementsthroughblamelesspost-incidentreviews.
• Support strategicAWSinitiativesacrossnetworking,identity,governance,andmulti-accountarchitecture.
• Review codeanddesigns,contributedocumentationandoperationalrunbooks,andmentorfellowengineers.
• Leverage AI-assistedtoolingtoimproveengineeringproductivity,accelerateautomation,andreduceoperationaltoil.

Your experience should include...

• 5+yearsofexperienceinSiteReliabilityEngineering,PlatformEngineering,InfrastructureEngineering,orasimilarrolesupportingproductionAWSenvironments.
• Strong Pythondevelopmentskillswithexperiencebuildingautomation,services,orplatformtooling.
• Hands-on experiencewithInfrastructureasCode,includingCloudFormationand/orAWSCDK.
• Experience operatingcoreAWSservicesincludingIAM,VPCnetworking,EC2,Lambda,andmanagedstorageordatabaseservices.
• Strong Linuxsystemsadministration,troubleshooting,incidentresponse,andproductionoperationsexperience.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.

Compensation  

In addition to the salary range below, the role may be eligible to participate in a discretionary cash bonus scheme that pays 10% of base salary based on individual and company performance.
