As a Quality Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing chemical and physical analyses on samples originating from production, warehouse, customer returns, and other internal sources. This role ensures that materials meet established specifications and supports the Quality Control (QC) laboratory in maintaining compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.\nResponsibilities\nThe technician's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:\nSample Preparation & Analysis\nPrepare samples for analysis through melting, polishing, acid digestion, tempering, mixing, weighing, and other applicable methods.\nPrepare analytical standards for atomic absorption testing.\nAnalyze metallic samples using spectrometry.\nPerform solution analyses by atomic absorption.\nConduct analyses of solder materials, includingwire, bar, and ribbon solder; Solder pasteand Solder powder.\nAnalyze liquid and medium flux samples.\nInspections in production operation and warehouse\nPerform incoming raw material inspection and receive it into inventory. \nPerform first-piece and last-piece inspections for all products. \nPerform final inspections of all finished products. \nControl and management of retained/rejected material.\nDocumentation & Reporting\nReview and verify product labels.\nWhen applicable, generate non-conformity reports (NCR).\nPrepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs).\nEnter test results into designated systems and databases.\nCommunicate analytical results to relevant internal stakeholders.\nEquipment,Operation & Maintenance\nPerform blanks and calibration curves requiredfor equipment operation.\nConduct instrument verifications according to the calibration/verification program.\nMaintain cleanliness and proper working conditions of laboratory equipment and work areas.\nInventory & Material Control\nManage storage, control, and disposal of witness samples.\nMaintain inventory of materials required for testing and analysis.\nRequest materials from the tool crib and initiate maintenance work orders when necessary.\nQuality & Continuous Improvement\nParticipate in Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities.\nSupport the development and implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods.\nReport any issues or nonconformities to the Laboratory Supervisor.\nSupport corrective and preventive action development.\nPerform additional assigned duties as required.\nServe as backup technician when needed.\nEnvironmental Responsibilities (ISO 14001)\nReport any potential environmental issues.\nParticipate in environmental activities assigned by management.\nAuthority\nHold or reject materials that are out of specification or suspected of nonconformance.\nStop processes when nonconforming products are identified.\nQualifications\nCollege diploma in a related field.\nBasic knowledge of chemistry (preferred).\nRelevant experience in quality assurance.\nResponsible, autonomous, meticulous, organized.\nAbility to multitask and work under pressure.\nComputer skills such as ERP system and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nKnowledge of 9001/14001/ISO TS/IATF standards, an asset.\nEnglish, Spanish an asset.\nReady to take on the challenge?
