This is a unique opportunity to learn state of the art technologies at an industry leader, as well as to contribute to the creation of the Air Canada of tomorrow.\nResponsibilities:\nTranslate design mockups into responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces for both web and mobile platforms.\nWrite clean, scalable, and modular code using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, React Native, Angular) and native mobile technologies where applicable.\nBuild reusable UI components and contribute to a shared design system that ensures consistency across applications.\nOptimize front-end performance through techniques such as lazy loading, code splitting, caching, and minimizing render times.\nCollaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs, optimize data flow, and ensure seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems.\nDevelop comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code reliability and maintainability.\nImplement accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, Section 508) to ensure inclusive user experiences.\nStay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices in front-end and mobile development.\nLeverage AI-assisted development tools to streamline workflows and encourage adoption across the team.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement of team processes.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, QA, DevOps) to align goals, timelines, and deliverables.\nAuthor design documents, and validation plans to support scalable development.\nQualifications\nRequired\nUniversity degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.\n3-5 years of experience in front-end development for web and/or mobile platforms.\nStrong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive design principles.\nExperience with React and/or Angular for web development.\nExperience with React Native or native mobile development (iOS/Android) is highly desirable.\nDeep understanding of object-oriented and functional programming in JavaScript.\nFamiliarity with consuming RESTful APIs and handling JSON data.\nKnowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.\nExperience with performance tuning and debugging tools for UI optimization.\nProficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologies.\nStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.\nDemonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.\nAssets\nExperience with content management systems (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager).\nFamiliarity with mobile app architectures (e.g., Redux, MobX).\nExposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps collaboration.\nPassion for innovation and continuous learning.\nExperience in the airline or travel industry.\nConditions of Employment:\nCandidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time any offer of employment is made and are responsible for obtaining any required work permits, visas, or other authorizations necessary for employment.
