Let your career take flight by joining our diverse and vibrant team at the leading edge of passenger aviation.\nThe Training Designer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining effective learning programs that support business objectives and are aligned with Air Canada’s strategic ambition to become a global top ten airline in everything we do. Reporting to the Manager, Training Design, this role participates in the full design cycle within a dynamic team environment to produce instructional detailed design documents, storyboards, facilitator guides and other learning collateral.\nResponsibilities:\nWork in collaboration with the Manager, CCST Design and other stakeholders to identify learning outcomes and to design/develop learning solutions which align to adult learning principles and instructional design best practices\nUse instructional design models, processes, and learning theories to produce effective learning programs that is of quality, scope, and meet learning outcomes.\nManage the development of multiple initiatives/projects of varying degrees of complexity with competing timeframes.\nDefine instructional direction and drive continuous improvement of learning solutions by designing and curating end-to-end learner experiences that reflect adult learning principles, accessibility, strong user experience, and business relevance across regulatory and non-regulatory programs.\nMaintain learning programs to ensure their continued effectiveness and relevance\nContinuously be familiar with key business processes, functions, systems and support cross functional training team initiatives\nBuild and maintain relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts both internally and externally\nMaintain broad industry knowledge and understanding of marketplace trends to develop best-in-class learning solutions.\nDeliver Train-the-Trainer workshops to enable Trainer Readiness to fulfill training program requirements\nQualifications\nAdult or Workplace Learning certificate or diploma\nAt least 3 years of applied instructional design experience\nExperience in the Hospitality or Airline industries would be considered a strong asset\nExperience designing instructor-led, online, mobile experiences or a blend of method\nAn aptitude for understanding systems and technical concepts quickly\nStrong understanding of ID methodologies and demonstrated application\nWillingness and ability to travel 10-15% of the time\nDemonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.\nConditions of Employment:\nCandidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time any offer of employment is made and are responsible for obtaining any required work permits, visas, or other authorizations necessary for employment.
