AIR prefers to promote our own teammates whenever possible and provides training and development programs to help prepare you for what’s next.\nAdditional Benefits listed below.\nHow We Support You\nInnovative technology helping you prioritize tasks and assist residents efficiently\nFully stocked and organized shops reducing the time it takes to resolve issues (tools may be available onsite, varies by community)\nSupportive leadership and teammates\nAscend: AIR’s newest maintenance development program customized to your individual career path to help you realize your potential and achieve your goals.\nWhat You Will Do\nProvide excellent service to residents and assistance to team members.\nFollow AIR’s process for completion of basic apartment turns to make the apartment ready for the next resident’s perfect move-in experience\nWith general direction, complete resident requested repairs and routine maintenance (i.e. troubleshoot and repair/replace plumbing, basic electrical components, HVAC equipment, and appliances, etc.)\nMay provide functional/technical direction and training to other Maintenance Technicians and support the development of technical skills.\nMay assist with managing vendor quality and may perform move-in/move-out inspections.\nResponsibilities vary based on team member skillset and community needs, mechanical systems, and season.\n Who You Are\nDetail-oriented problem solver that takes pride in fixing things right the first time\nDedicated to customer satisfaction in each interaction\nEager to use technology to assist as many residents as possible each day\nDemonstrates a strong work ethic and thrives in a fast-paced environment\nA reliable team player who contributes to their team’s success\nWhat You Have\nAt least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in some form of facilities or building environment\n Proficient skills in at least two technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)\n Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks (depending on community needs and seasonality), and on-call shifts (at least one week a month).\nA reliable mode of transportation to respond to emergency service requests while on-call after hours.\nComfort with physical activity as you must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and machinery.\nAbility to read, write, and speak English.\n Standard union rate at $24.03 per hour for Mechanic A or $21.51 per hour for Mechanic B - depending on candidate's skill set and experience. Rate will increase upon the six-month anniversary. Standard scheduled rate increases apply based on Collective Bargaining Agreement.\nThe schedule is Sunday-Thursday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.\nThe benefits included with this position are based off the Collective Bargaining Agreement standards.\nApplication Deadline: The initial deadline for applications is 8/21/2026.
