Ensures daily plant reliability, safety, and supply availability by overseeing equipment maintenance schedules, managing OPEX/CAPEX budgets, and enforcing strict safety, quality, and regulatory compliance protocols. The role actively leads root-cause analyses for site incidents, drives continuous improvement through Management of Change (MOC) processes, and supports site personnel training and daily operational handovers.How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
- Equipment Maintenance & Reliability: Manage monthly site maintenance schedules, oversee vendor work quality, coordinate shutdown commitments, and maintain work order closures to ensure optimal plant availability.
- Incident Analysis & Risk Mitigation: Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for all site incidents, implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and drive near-miss reporting.
- Safety, Quality & Compliance (MOC & Permit): Enforce Safe Work Permits, Risk Assessments, Management of Change (MOC) protocols, site safety audits, and strict adherence to Integrated Management System (IMS) standards.
- Financial & OPEX/CAPEX Control: Monitor site operational expenditures (OPEX) against budget targets and propose capital expenditure (CAPEX) justifications for plant improvements.
- Training & Team Development: Ensure all site personnel are fully trained and qualified per divisional procedures, while leading daily shift handovers and fostering team alignment.
Are you a MATCH?
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant field
- 1-3 years working experience in chemical industry. Experience in cryogenic air separation unit (ASU) and Steam Methane Reformer unit (SMR) operation will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge in process safety risk management tools such as FMEA, HAZOP.
- Strong analytical skills and proactively propose optimisation plan for continuous production process.
- Organised and detail oriented.
- Good team player and strong interpersonnal skills.
- Able to lead a team of operation technicians and coordinate cross departmental activities to deliver result in tight deadline.
- Experience in implementation of Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing projects in workplace will be an advantage.
