We believe that a variety of backgrounds makes our team stronger and more innovative.At Air Liquide weRESPECT, HONOR and VALUE diversity.\nAir Liquide is hiring for a Project Manager in Houston, TX.\nComprehensive Family Benefits: Air Liquide offers a full benefits package designed to support your whole life, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, and Disability Insurance.\nFuture Security: 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match, Tuition Assistance, Paid Holidays, Vacation, and Sick time.\nEarly Access: Your benefits start on the first day of employment.\nWithin a Center, is responsible for all engineering activities in Project Engineering for specific projects in accordance with contractual requirements (design, budgeted hours, schedule etc.) by leading a team of Project Engineers / Project Engineering Managers and by coordinating with other departments and - if needed - external partners / subcontractors.\n Job Responsibilities:\nRepresent the business unit interests in the development and the execution of capital investments up to $200 million;\n\nAssist project and business development teams to identify, budget, and plan project solutions that maximizes the competitiveness of Air Liquide’s commercial offer to the end customer;\n\nPlan project execution according to Project Management Institute practices and to Air Liquide's procedures;\n\nLead a multi-national project execution team with representatives from multiple business entities;\n\nParticipate in required engineering review meetings at foreign company locations (China, UAE, Germany, France, India etc.);\n\nCreate and maintain comprehensive project risk register and will actively manage identified risks and opportunities;\n\nParticipate in negotiation and execution of engineering, procurement, and construction contracts;\n\nImplement tracking and progress reporting using metrics and dashboards to communicate status of projects to upper management;\n\nParticipate in the setup of a baseline project schedule and monitoring of the progress with respect to this schedule;\n\nWork with regulatory bodies to obtain required permits and licenses;\n\nLead the project team in creation of discipline subcontract packages (piling, civil, mechanical, and E&I), participate in contractor pre-bid and clarification meetings, and take on the leading role in contractor selection;\n\nNegotiate construction contracts with the help of subcontracting department and Air Liquide legal team;\n\nOversee all onsite construction activities and monitor compliance with contract;\n\nAnalyze, manage and mitigate risks;\n\nDrive a culture of teamwork between operations, engineering, construction, and project delivery teams;\n\nEnsure use of proper construction techniques and enforce adherence to proper quality standards;\n\nPrepare internal and external monthly project reports;\n\nAnalyze, negotiate, and execute construction subcontract change orders;\n\nMonitor and champion safety performance through all aspects of the project but especially at the construction site\n\n___________________\nAre you a MATCH?\nRequired Qualifications:\nB.S. in Science or Engineering from an accredited college or university required;\n\nAdvanced degree is preferred\n\nCandidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.\n\nMinimum 15 years of work experience in an engineering discipline, project engineering within an EPC organization, project management, construction, or equivalent, with additional exposure to business development, procurement, and operations;\n\nProject manager will be competent in conflict resolution and crisis management.
