Air Liquide is a French industrial gases company founded in 1902 that supplies oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, argon and specialty gases to industry, healthcare and electronics manufacturers. Industrial gases is an unusually attractive business: gases are expensive to transport relative to their value, so suppliers build plants next to customers under contracts running fifteen years or more, which makes local positions close to unassailable. Headquartered in Paris and listed there, it is also one of the largest producers of hydrogen and supplies the ultra-pure gases semiconductor fabs consume in enormous quantities.

Air Liquide Advanced Materials (ALAM) is transforming the science of electronics and technology. We innovate with atomic scale engineering to open up countless new possibilities in how the world lives, works and connects. Today, our ALOHATM and Voltaix® products are critical to the manufacture of the newest computer chips required for Big Data and the Internet of Things.
