A successful candidate must be able to develop and lead Zone initiatives, have a strong understanding of plant processes, and facilitate actions to keep the GCPL compliant with Air Liquide and Regulatory requirements.\nJob Responsibilities:\nWorks to achieve Zero Accidents by taking a leadership role in safety.\nModels exemplary safety behavior, leads by personal example.\nInsists on adherence to administrative and operational policies and procedures.\nImplements and maintains the Life Critical system within area of responsibility.\nActs as Zone Operations Director as needed.\nEnsures that quality standards are met (FDA, Customer contract requirements); MOC and Incident Reviews are consistently applied and documented.\nUnderstands and drives the implementation of initiatives aimed improve at Operational Excellence and Efficiencies.\nLeads and mentors Plant personnel to achieve GCPL targets.\nActively supports the plants to improve Standard Operating Procedures.\nEnsures that company initiatives to maintain safe work environments and mechanical integrity of plant systems are fully implemented at every facility.\nEnsures that all facilities are in complete compliance with all applicable government regulations (Federal, State and Local-i.e., OSHA, EPA, etc.).\nPromotes positive interaction between our facilities and the local community at large, according to the guidelines of Responsible Care and company policy.\nEnsures that management systems and processes exist in facilities to conduct effective HSE self audits and to drive to zero HSE violations.\nParticipates in RCFAs of major incidents within the Zone.\nActs as the Quality Controller for all MOC’s and participates in Safety reviews and PSSRs per the MOC procedure.\nConducts training sessions as necessary to carry corporate safety initiatives to field locations.\nWorks closely with Plant Managers and Operations Managers to understand and track plant vulnerabilities.\n.Ensures that the Production Scorecards (measurement systems in support of efficiency improvement and selected initiatives) are up-to-date and used within all facilities\nPromotes constructive professional interactions between the various divisions, locations, departments, and companies that make up the Air Liquide Group.\nAnswers technical process questions, understands operational issues, and can provide troubleshooting assistance at all times. \nBrings issues of non-compliance to the attention of the Zone Production Director.\nLead Zone initiatives activities as required.\nActs as the zone representative for new projects in the zone.\nFacilitates communication/cooperation between the Maintenance Center and Plant Managers to assure that turnarounds are properly planned and executed.\nPrepares start-up plans for new facilities to ensure initial operation of the plant is on-time, on-budget.\nTechnical and working understanding of a Air Separation plant.\n____________________\nAre you a MATCH?\nRequired Qualifications:\nMechanical or Chemical Engineering degree required - OR - equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable AND 5+ years process industry experience.\nCandidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.\nTechnical expertise in operation, enhancement, and maintenance of the facilities.\nStrong interpersonal skills, able to interface with multiple support groups and provide a clear message.\nAble to track and measure progress versus objectives, taking action to close gaps; supervise, lead and coach both direct, indirect reports and Director.\nProfessional integrity at all times in the performance of duties.
