Assist leadership in assuring confidentiality is maintained and HIPAA compliance is adhered to.\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:\n\nEnsure authorization requests and authorization appeals are submitted and followed-up on with the appropriate insurance company via fax, phone or online\n\nEnsure all hospital records are requested in a timely manner and follow up completed as needed until received via fax, phone or online\n\nSubmit/mail appeal letters, claims and other correspondence to insurance companies in a timely manner with all appropriate documentation. Document accounts when completed for tracking purposes\n\nReview and distribute incoming correspondence including faxes, mail and emails to appropriate staff and link to accounts in electronic records program for tracking\n\nMay complete claim status by contacting insurance companies for confirmation of claims received via fax, phone or online; if and when needed due to payor issues or time sensitive matters\n\nMay review and complete rebills\n\nAssist in the training of new hires, continuous training, and cross-functional efforts\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\nAdditional Job Requirements\nRegular scheduled attendance \n\nIndicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 0%\n\nSubject to applicable laws and Air Method’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position.
