This role is essential for delivering accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information that supports strategic decision-making. You will review financial operations, participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, and compliance processes to ensure our continued growth, finance control and operational efficiency. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, accountability and will play a crucial part in our decision-making processes.\nThis is a fully onsite position, based at our office in Lisbon, where you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in person and contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. We are open to support with relocation efforts.\n\nResponsibilities\nPrepare, control and report financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across departments and product lines.\n\nReview monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reporting.\n\nOversee internal control systems and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and tax obligations.\n\nCollaborate in a fast-moving environment, cross-functionally to align financial reporting and business goals.\n\nManage cash flow, cost control, and ad-hoc financial risk assessments.\n\nOptimize automation of ERP and accounting tools such as Netsuite, Payhawk, Ramp.\n\nAnalyze and report variances, provide insights into financial performance metrics.\n\nContribute to business planning and strategic initiatives with financial insights.\n\nContinuously improve financial processes, systems, and controls for scalability and efficiency.\n\nRequirements\nAround 5+ years of experience in accounting, controlling, or financial management.\n\nPrior experience in a senior audit position or Big 4 firm is highly valued and/or Start-up/Scale-up experience.\n\nDegree in Accounting, Management, Finance, or a related field (bachelor’s or master’s).\n\nChartered Accountant qualification is a strong plus.\n\nSolid understanding of accounting standards, financial statements, and tax regulations.\n\nExperience with tools such as Excel, Netsuite, Payhawk, Ramp, Oracle, or SAGE.\n\nStrong analytical skills with attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset.\n\nAbility to communicate financial insights clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.\n\nFluent in English, both written and verbal.\n\nWhy Join Air Apps?
