Join us in shaping the digital future of travel across the region.\nAbout the Role\nAs an Engineering Manager - AirAsia Ride, you’ll lead cross-functional engineering squads responsible for building and scaling our ride-hailing platform. You oversee systems spanning mobile (React Native), backend (Node.js), real-time services, job assignments, payments, and operational tooling. This is a hands-on leadership role combining people management, technical direction, and delivery ownership to ensure a seamless, reliable, and delightful experience for both riders and drivers.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Team Management & Growth\nManage, coach, and grow a team of software engineers across mobile, backend, and QA.\n\nConduct career development, performance reviews, and growth planning.\n\nFoster a high-performance engineering culture emphasizing delivery, reliability, and innovation.\n\n2. Technical Oversight\nProvide architectural guidance for real-time systems.\n\nEnsure best practices for coding, testing, observability, and secure development.\n\nDrive technical standards across React Native apps, backend services, APIs, and infra.\n\nCollaborate with platform, data, and infra teams to ensure scalability and cost efficiency.\n\n3. Delivery & Execution\nOwn sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and release management across squads.\n\nMonitor system SLAs-availability, latency, booking success rate, and error budgets.\n\nEnsure seamless app updates, backend deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.\n\nPartner with QA, SRE, Ops teams to uphold reliability and resilience of production systems.\n\n4.
