It is one of the most visited pages for our community of over 5 million Hosts worldwide, and when Hosts earn more, Airbnb grows too\nThe Difference You Will Make:\nBuild backend services and APIs for the Earnings Dashboard and other payments features that help Hosts grow their income and drive Airbnb revenue.\nTranslate product, compliance and regulatory requirements into clean, well-tested code.\nBuild the data and services behind Host performance metrics, recommendations and reports, and keep them accurate and fast for Hosts of every size.\nImplement experimentation, logging and metrics so Product and Data Science can test changes and measure their impact on Hosts and the business.\nPartner with Product, Design, Data Science, Finance, Legal and other engineering teams to deliver projects that grow the business.\nUse data to find gaps in conversion, Host engagement and reliability, and drive fixes and improvements.\nParticipate in code reviews, technical design discussions and operational improvements across the team. \nA Typical Day: \nArchitect and implement complex features, focusing on data-driven decision making and performance optimizations.\nCollaborate with other engineers and cross-functional partners across the organization to understand and prioritize technical requirements.\nProactively grow knowledge of leading edge practices and trends.\nHelp define and improve coding standards, development processes and best practices.\nYour Expertise:\n2+ years of experience in a hands-on software engineering role in backend/full-stack development.\nBachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience.\nExposure to Java, and experience building services in a distributed microservice environment\nFluency in frontend web technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, React and Graphql etc)\nDemonstrated expertise in backend systems within large-scale service-oriented architectures.\nPassionate about efficiency, availability, technical quality and system quality.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work well within engineering organization and cross functions.\nYour Location:\nThis position is US - Remote Eligible.
