Staff Platform Manager, Loyalty Platform Lead (Product Management)

The Difference You Will Make:

Our Payments Platform Managers own outcomes across foundation, growth, and empowerment, setting the vision and strategy, defining the Platform roadmap, and driving execution. We are building foundational loyalty and incentives platform capabilities that require expertise in consumer loyalty programs and B2B2C incentives platforms. The Staff Platform Manager, Loyalty Platform lead will own the platform strategy and vision for enabling internal and partner teams to offer new loyalty and membership offers for guests and hosts across the world.

A Typical Day:

• Own the Loyalty & Incentives platform domain strategy, roadmap, and operating model, enabling teams across Airbnb to launch, configure, and evolve loyalty, membership, and incentive programs through reusable, scalable platform capabilities - including support for different loyalty currencies (fiat, points, cryptocurrency, and emerging digital assets) to accommodate a wide range of use cases
• Lead platform strategy for gift card capabilities as a core part of the Loyalty & Incentives domain, aligning business, partnership, and engineering roadmaps to scale the platform efficiently, sustainably, and profitably
• Monitor B2B2C platform performance for membership and loyalty campaigns, while partnering with cross-functional teams
• Drive platform due diligence and integration strategy for loyalty and membership partners, defining reusable patterns, technical and operational requirements, and scalable integration models that expand platform reach and business impact
• Partner across Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Partnerships, Compliance, Operations, Data, and marketplace business teams to align roadmaps, resolve cross-org tradeoffs, and scale foundational platform capabilities - and work directly with external enterprise partners to deeply integrate product capabilities and drive real business impact

Your Expertise:

Required:

• Min 9-17 years of product management experience specializing in loyalty or incentive platforms, with a strong history of driving strategy, roadmap definition, and execution
• Proven track record building enterprise-level or B2B2C platforms for extensive consumer-facing businesses, with sophisticated understanding of earn/redemption workflows, compliance, and fraud/losses
• Deep experience defining partner integration strategies and operating models that balance technical feasibility, compliance, and business objectives
• Global and multi-market experience across geographies, currencies, and regulatory environments
• Ability to articulate a clear, compelling vision and strategy and rally cross-functional teams around it
• Exceptional prioritization and decision-making skills, with the ability to make tradeoffs and communicate rationale to stakeholders at all levels
• Strong cross-functional and cross-organizational leadership skills, aligning business, technical, operational, and external partners around shared outcomes

Preferred:

• Technical background in multi-currency incentives processing & loyalty operations
• Experience scaling loyalty programs internationally
• Experience managing developer-facing platforms and API-based solutions
• Experience with payments and risk losses
• Experience at a consumer marketplace or two-sided platform with both B2B and B2C surfaces
• Experience with AI prototypes in the product development process
• Demonstrated ability to scale products from 0→1 in ambiguous environments

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range shown below is annualized, is inclusive of allowances and is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentives, one or more equity programs, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
