The Jr. Buyer will summarize and report progress and/or roadblocks to management and will also be responsible for special projects such as supplier sourcing/resourcing, supply chain optimization and cost reductions.\n\nKey Deliverables and Responsibilities:\nLead the supplier quoting process including both external supplier communication, internal analysis, tracking and supplier sourcing\nIssue new purchase orders and maintain/update purchase orders for price changes. Manage the supplier requisition system for multiple departments and plants\nResolve invoice discrepancies and payment with accounting\nMaintain productive working relationships with suppliers and internal departments\nFacilitate timely escalation of critical supplier issues\nIdentify, negotiate and implement cost savings and report monthly\nDisplay a high level of internal customer service\nWorks with material planners to ensure that all raw materials are available to meet schedules\nAssess supplier capabilities on quality, delivery and commercial capability\nManage special projects including supplier research and analysis, improvement activities and cost studies\nEducation and Experience:\n0-2 years of experience in Supply Chain or related field\nA Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Program Management or related field is preferred\nTraining and Skills:\nFluency in English required (verbal and written). Abilities in additional languages, particularly French preferred but not required\nDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skills\nUnderstanding and ability to perform basic business, cost/benefit and financial analysis\nAbility to communicate professionally with people within and outside of the organization\nPlanning and organization skills\nAbility to work as part of a team\nTravel Requirements:\nCandidate will be required to travel to all locations where the company conducts business.
