Aerodynamics Engineer (m/f)

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an Aerodynamics Engineer (f/m) to join our Aerodynamics Department based in Toulouse, France.

You will join the team responsible for the aerodynamic characterization of the overall aircraft for all Airbus programmes, from early design to flight-test validation.

We are studying innovative technologies, novel configurations, and propulsion architectures for next-generation sustainable airliners, requiring the evolution of our aerodynamic models.

Your challenges:

• Develop optimized aerodynamic models for innovative aircraft configurations, flexible structures, and electric propulsion systems.
• Develop modeling skills required to integrate new propulsion systems into the overall aerodynamic model.
• Use and contribute to the development of various propeller and propulsion simulation techniques.
• Explore modeling solutions through machine learning and artificial intelligence for faster model generation.

Your boarding pass:

• Background in Engineering (or equivalent) with knowledge in aerodynamic modelling and flight mechanics.
• Experience: beginner eager to learn or experienced engineer 2 years minimum.
• Knowledge of CFD tools (meshing, turbulence models) and programming languages (Python).
• Data science skills (machine learning and artificial intelligence) are an advantage.
• Advanced level in English (spoken and written); French is an advantage.
