What you will be doing

You will be on a development journey to guide your growth into the role of Buyer for Aluminum Raw Materialand can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Active contribution to company cost improvement programs by identifying opportunities, establishing roadmaps, coordinating activities, negotiating commercial agreements in collaboration with the impacted Airbus programs and functions.

  • You will oversee the end-to-end Aluminium procurement process by evaluating market trends, assessing suppliers capabilities and optimizing portfolio allocations to contribute to a sustainable and resilient supply chain.

  • You will master artificial intelligence and SAP information systems alongside Airbus-specific data platforms to ensure absolute alignment between live supply chain demand and legal contract terms.

  • You will learn how to lead cross-functional Call for Tenders, active contract management for Airbus Group and implement proactive risk mitigation strategies against financial volatility or supplier monopolies.

  • You will develop expert-level proficiency in Airbus Commercial & Procurement policy frameworks, qualifying you in the field of raw material sourcing and qualification specifics and experience the power of multi-functional team work.

  • Your placements are in core functions like Supply Chain Quality, Metallic Raw Material and Material and Process Engineering and you will interact across transnational Airbus sites in Filton (UK), Bremen (Germany) and Blagnac (France).

Your development journey will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position.

At the end of the two year development programme, you will have developed into the position of Buyer for Aluminum Raw Material!

What we are looking for

To be a successful applicant, you will need to demonstrate you have:

  • A degree level or equivalent within master in industrial engineering or business administration

  • Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of Supply Management, Procurement and/or Industrial Engineering

  • Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)

  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation

  • The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
