Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Electrical Assembly EF2000)
Job Description:
An opportunity for an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Electrical Assembly) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).
The selected candidate will join the Eurofighter EF2000 Production & Flight Line Team, participating in the electrical integration, functional testing, and flight readiness of military aircraft. The team operates in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment spanning both the Final Assembly Line (FAL) and Flight Line operations, working directly with cutting-edge defense products.
RESPONSIBILITIES The main tasks of the jobholder will be:
- Perform electrical assembly, integration, harness routing, and system modifications (soldering, crimping) according to technical instructions, work orders, and job cards.
- Conduct functional testing of avionics and mechanical systems within the Final Assembly Line (FAL) and operational testing on the Flight Line.
- Support Flight Line operations, including aircraft reception, operational testing preparation, engine ground runs, and pre-flight launch activities.
- Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve technical incidents occurring during integration and functional testing phases.
- Carry out basic electrical testing (continuity, bonding) and first-level quality inspections to ensure assembly readiness.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives while coordinating effectively with cross-functional production and maintenance teams.

- Education: Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT / TMA) qualification or related technical discipline in Aeronautical Maintenance.
- Experience: Practical experience in aircraft electrical assembly, functional testing, or flight line operations.
- Soft skills: High adaptability to operational environments, strong collaborative mindset, and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Languages: Advanced level in English & Spanish (both written & spoken).
- Technical knowledge: Avionics and aircraft mechanics, electrical integration techniques (wiring, crimping, soldering), basic electrical testing, and ability to interpret technical production documentation.
- Valuable / Nice to have: Possession of an EASA B1/B2 license, previous experience in the Eurofighter (EF2000) program, or experience in engine ground runs will be highly valued.
