Achieve a Level 3 apprenticeship framework in Facilities Management whilst earning a full-time salary and paying ZERO fees to do so.\nThis unique 40 month programme not only offers you a Level 3 framework, but together with vocational training and placements in various teams and projects focusing on maintenance, sustainability, and health and safety, you will develop high engineering skills recognised across the globe.\nYou will be studying in year 1 at Coleg Cambria and in years 2 & 3 with Gower College and will have a unique opportunity to couple this learning with practical, industry based work that will take place at our world leading aircraft manufacturing site in Broughton, (near Chester) North Wales.\nWe are also believers in experiential learning too, and there are many events that take place that offer exciting opportunities to grow and develop whilst also having fun!\nYour scheme will begin with the first 8 months being off site on full-time academic & vocational study, before moving to a full week in placements apart from your academic day as detailed by your academic provider as you progress into your 2nd and 3rd years. During your placement, you will be working on-site at our Wing Manufacturing Centre of Excellence where you’ll work with a range of different teams. The disciplines you will cover include:\nFacilities Services, incorporating Planned and Reactive Maintenance;\nSustainability;\nMinor Works Projects;\nHealth and Safety.\nWhat you will be doing:\nThe types of activities you will be involved in include:\nFacilities Services\nWork as an engineer to support any daily issues on site as well as ensuring robustness of planned preventative maintenance;\nWork with our external service provider partners to ensure service delivery;\nReview the infrastructure layout to develop new solutions, optimising asset performance and standardisation of equipment;\nTo be able to technically evaluate external supplier workmanship standards;\nDeveloping projects/designs that will reduce issues and improve reliability.\nSustainability\nIn conjunction with the Energy and Asset Management teams, identify opportunities and improvements to deliver investment programmes, that should also deliver total cost of ownership including the incorporation of sustainable engineering.\nMinor Works Projects\nWork as an engineer to develop infrastructure specifications that improves, optimises and standardises our assets;\nEvaluate technical proposals to ensure that supplier submissions align to the asset strategy so that all relevant technical challenges are submitted to deliver efficiencies and performance within the requirements;\nUnderstand the infrastructure technical impact against proposals in relation to energy and ongoing maintenance requirements.\nHealth and Safety \nAttain a thorough understanding of your health and safety responsibilities and best practices;\nGain a full understanding of all the legislative requirements within the scope of the commodity (electrical or mechanical);\nTo carry out audits of the infrastructure systems to ensure compliance on the site.\nRequirements:\nIn order to be eligible to this apprenticeship, you must have a minimum of:\nMinimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above which must include Maths, English Language and Science (C in Physics or double award in Science at minimum CC)\nSuccessful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:\nSubmit your CV stating your grades and if they are predicted or achieved; \nSubmit a Cover Letter highlighting your passion and suitability for this apprenticeship.\nBOOST YOUR APPLICATION:\nWe want to get to know you-not just your grades or school background so, tell us on your cover letter:\nWhy Airbus and this apprenticeship?
