In this role, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience designing, testing, and integrating advanced flight control systems for our next-generation aircraft. Mentored by senior engineers, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of impactful projects, applying theoretical aerospace concepts to real-world hardware and software challenges.\nFlight Control Law Development & Simulation: Assist in the design, modeling, and refinement of flight control laws to meet performance and handling requirements.\nDevelop FCC dynamic algorithms: Design and optimize dynamic algorithms for the Flight Control Computer (FCC) to ensure reliable aircraft responsiveness.\nImplement control strategies in MATLAB/Simulink: Translate aerodynamic data and control theory into high-fidelity digital models.\nConduct Software-In-The-Loop (SIL) simulations to validate control architecture stability: Run rigorous tests to analyze system performance and safety margins.\nHardware: Lead trade studies to evaluate, select, and integrate core flight control hardware for your specific project scope, ensuring seamless communication between sensors, actuators, and the FCC.\nDesired skills and qualifications\nEnrolled full-time student (d/f/m) within Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.\nLanguage skills: English Fluent, good German skills would be an advantage.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nPrevious project team experience (e.g., Design Build Fly, Formula SAE, university rocketry/UAV teams).\nFamiliarity with simulation environments like Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL).\nExposure to hardware integration, avionics, or basic embedded systems.\nEagerness to learn and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.\nPlease upload the following documents: cover letter, CV, relevant transcripts, enrollment certificate.\nNot a 100% match?
