It's an exciting time to be part of Procurement!\nA vacancy has arisen in the lines of our Commodity Managers within strategic procurement, which is a vital part in the procurement and supply chain community.\nYou will join the Flight Controls Commodity for all ADS platforms, which will give you a unique wide vision of the Aibus Defence&Space current and future business. You will work developing structural relationships with well established worldwide suppliers and managing complex workpackages.\nOne of the main responsibilities is to develop, and execute, a strategy for your sub-commodities, which will include to get a deep understanding of the market, technology evolution, tendering, negotiations and long-term contract establishment with suppliers. As well supplier analysis (supplier evaluation, supplier financial analysis, etc), risk assessment and management, and make or buy business case, etc. You will develop a solid working knowledge of certain commodity trends including: cost drivers, global pricing, market and industry trends and material lead times to maintain availability of cost-effective supplies of materials, equipment and services.\nYou will coordinate all activities within the Multifunctional Teams - MFT of your domain (with members from different functions like e.g. Engineering, Finance, PMO, Quality etc.) to safeguard the successful management of your sub-commodity, securing our lines and enabling value for money proposals for our platforms. With your work, you will contribute to the profitability of our company and to the expansion of our successful projects and related services, which is a vital part of Airbus Defence and Space growth strategy.\nCommodity management requires a strategic and robust plan to ensure that both value and risk are managed correctly, and innovation is encouraged. The role of a commodity manager is very complex and it has to be undertaken by someone who is capable of understanding markets, the supply chain and how the business works.\nTasks and Responsibilities:\nEstablish, implement & monitor a Commodity strategy for your perimeter\n\nManage supplier relationships and supplier related development programs\n\nLead the (Sub-) Commodity Multi-Functional Team\n\nLead the, and drive to conclusion bids, tenders and supplier selection processes\n\nLead and contribute to Procurement/ Value Creation projects & initiatives that aim at delivering synergies and savings\n\nLead negotiations with supplier to assure program expectations are meet\n\nSet-up, negotiate & manage contractual agreements with suppliers, including negotiations for exiting contracts & negotiation of new supplier contracts.\n\nLead Supplier Evaluation Development (SED) and Vendor Management & define action plans to develop strategic suppliers.\n\nRequirements:\nDegree in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent\n\nA least 5 years of experience in activities which have allowed you to acquire sound skills and knowledge of:\nProcurement\n\nEngineering\n\nServices\n\nProject/Program Management\n\nExcellent negotiation skills and the ability to persuade, influence and convince\n\nExperience of working in a matrix environment with proven record of successful stakeholder management\n\nAble to anticipate, assess and mitigate risks\n\nExcellent skills in relationship building, team building, empowering, motivating others and conflict management.\n\nNegotiation level of English\n\nKnowledge of SAP would be an asset\n\nThis position has a high visibility in Procurement and in the functions it is interfacing with (PMO, Services, Quality, Supply chain and Engineering).\nWe are looking forward to your application!\nAt Airbus, we support you to work, connect and collaborate more easily and flexibly.
