This includes performing assembly/ paint, trim, shipping, layup and core inspections of all parts to verify the high quality of the parts.\nMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES\nAssembly Inspection/Paint Inspection\nVisual Inspection\nVerify potting material shelf life\nVerify that inserts, components, etc. are installed as per drawing.\nVisual Inspection for improper or insufficient coverage, rough surfaces, pitting.\nDust inclusions, orange peel, tears, sagging or blistering.\nInspecting parts to planned MIDs and Inspection documents , drawings etc.\nRecording of nonconformities and quarantining non conforming parts with red tags.\nCreate and maintain inspection plans and procedures.\nParticipate and lead root cause and corrective action process using Rapid 5 Whys, 8D tools etc..\nPerform First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements.\nExecute inspections to planned weekly and daily KPIs to Assembly Inspection Plans.\nServe as a guide to Assembly technicians by sharing requirements and acceptance criteria for Inspection.\nParticipate in all initial and recurrent training to maintain certifying staff authorities.\nTrim Inspection\nVerification of tool validity\nVisual Inspection\nInspection of parts to planned MIDs and Inspection documents , drawings etc.\nParticipate and lead root cause and corrective action process using Rapid 5 Whys, 8D tools etc.\nRecording of nonconformities & quarantining non conforming parts with red tags. \nShipping Inspection\nVerify that all inspection stages have been completed.\nInspecting parts to planned MIDs and Inspection documents , drawings etc.\nRecording of nonconformities & quarantining non conforming parts with red tags.\nPreparation of shipping documentation including Form Ones and C of Cs.\nExecute inspections to planned weekly and daily KPIs to Assembly Inspection Plans.\nParticipate in all initial and recurrent training to maintain certifying staff authorities.\nParticipate and lead root cause and corrective action process using Rapid 5 Whys, 8D tools etc.\nLay-up Inspection\nReview all materials in kits for shelf life & out life remaining\nVerification that all materials have been cut & identified with ply number & orientation\nVerification that Material Identification Sheets are complete.\nVerification validity of tooling.\nVisual Inspection to planned MIDs and Inspection documents , drawings etc.\nExecute inspections to planned weekly and daily KPIs to Assembly Inspection Plans.\nParticipate and lead root cause and corrective action process using Rapid 5 Whys, 8D tools etc.\nServe as a guide to Layup technicians by sharing requirements and acceptance criteria for Inspection.\nRecording of nonconformities & quarantining non conforming parts with red tags.\nCore Inspection\nVerification validity of tooling\nVerification of conformity to templates and drawings\nVisual Inspection for damage, cell ruptures, contamination dust /oil\nInspection of parts to planned MIDs and Inspection documents , drawings etc.\nRecording of nonconformities & quarantining non conforming parts with red tags.\nExecute inspections to planned weekly and daily KPIs to Assembly Inspection Plans.\nParticipate and lead root cause and corrective action process using Rapid 5 Whys, 8D tools etc.\nMINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS\nEducation\nCollege Diploma (Mechanical Engineering Technician or Technologist) or relevant experience\nExperience:\n5 years of composite experience (Manufacturing/Assembly Inspection), specifically with a Quality Assurance System (ISO 9001, AS 9100)\nNDT/Ultrasonic Inspection experience an asset \nKnowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:\nAbility to work under broad supervision\nIndependent and able to work with a team\nAttention to detail\nAble to manage time effectively and prioritize work\nProfessional working relationships with internal and external sources, including regulatory and quality certified agencies\nAble to work under pressure to meet demanding work schedules\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nExcellent problem solving skills\nAble to write accurate technical reports\nAbility to read various Blueprints\nAble to use measurement tools\nThis job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.\nCompany:\nAirbus Helicopters Canada LtdEmployment Type:\nPermanent-------\nExperience Level:\nEntry LevelJob Family:\nQuality Inspection By submitting your CV or application you are consenting to Airbus using and storing information about you for monitoring purposes relating to your application or future employment.
