Job Description:

In order to support the Aircraft Immersive & Connected platforms PSL, Airbus is looking for a UX & Digital Product Specialist - IoT (f/m/d).

Airbus is on an exciting journey of digital transformation, shaping the future with cutting-edge solutions to unlock the full potential of data. As part of an international team based across Toulouse, Hamburg, and Bengaluru, you will drive business development and lead UX strategy within the Aircraft Immersive & Connected platforms Product Service Line (PSL). You will deliver innovative products-including the IoT, Mixed Reality, and Connected Aircraft Platforms-that optimize industrial operations and deliver real value across Airbus Commercial Aircraft.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Research, identify, and qualify new business opportunities and define go-to-market strategies across Airbus Commercial Aircraft, divisions, and subsidiaries.

  • Define and evangelize the UX vision and strategy across the DII portfolio, ensuring alignment with user-centered design principles and business goals.

  • Advocate for the user by translating complex business requirements into intuitive design solutions that fit customer expectations.

  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of UX/UI designers, managing workload distribution, design reviews, and professional growth.

  • Build and streamline demand management and use-case assessment processes to promote DII products and services.

  • Support project management activities including budget planning, risk management, customer engagement, and stakeholder reporting.

  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and foster cultural change through collaborative, best-practice methodologies.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Solid track record in User Experience (UX) with experience leading or coordinating UX/UI design or digital product teams.

  • Strong background in business development, prospecting, funnel management, and customer-centric strategies.

  • Proven experience in project management, risk management, and knowledge of the Airbus LBIP project lifecycle.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills in an international, multicultural context.

  • High proficiency in English (French language skills and experience using JIRA are strong pluses).
