perform planning and support of our network infrastructure and customer enterprise network solutions.\nIn this Network Engineer role you will troubleshoot, implement and administer network systems as well as provide level III network support along with executing and developing network security guidelines.\nRESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:\nNetwork Engineer Job Responsibilities:\n\nEstablishes and maintains network performance.\nBuilds net configurations and connections.\nTroubleshoots network problems.\nIP address auditing.\nEstablishes networking environment by designing system configuration and directing system installation.\nDefines, documents, and enforces system standards.\nMaximizes performance by troubleshooting network problems and outages and scheduling upgrades.\nConfigures router.\nUpdates data servers and network equipment.\nCollaborates with network architects on network optimization.\nSecures network system by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and enterprise networks\nLarge regional, national, or international carrier-grade SIP VoIP networks\nLarge regional, national, or international Internet backbone or IP service provider access networks\n\nA thorough understanding and hands-on working knowledge of IP routing and switching, specifically:VRF, OSPF, BGP, route redistribution, Spanning Tree, DSCP\nMP-BGP, MPLS VPN (VPLS Layer 2, VPRN Layer 3 Option A and B, and Pseudowire PtP)\n\nA thorough understanding and hands-on working knowledge of carrier-grade VoIP infrastructure, specifically:Significant hosted PBXs platforms (Metaswitch or Broadsoft)\nVery-high CPS SBC clusters (Sansay, Acme, Sonus)\nEnd point devices (Polycom VVX, Cisco SPA and ATA, Grandstream)\n\nStrong hands-on working knowledge of Juniper, Cisco, and Adtran routers and switchesAble to understand and analyze WireShark results to solve complex SIP VoIP and IP internetworking challenges.\n\nAble to create and modify security policies on routers, switches, and firewalls\nAble to be flexible to work off hours, nights, and weekends if required\n5 + years of hands on Network Engineering experience and/or a Degree in Information Systems, \nComputer Science or related industry or equivalent training and experience.\nCisco CCNP (or equivalent knowledge)\nOrganizational Qualifications\nAble to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment\nStrong written and oral communication skills\nCommunicate clearly and effectively with peers, customers and management in a team environment.\nMentor and serve as the escalation point to other team members.\nProficient in documentation, reporting and knowledge transfer.\nExcellent research, organizational and analytical
