This position is also responsible for installation, preventative maintenance, onsite troubleshooting and service, and component repair. Performs component upgrades while ensuring a safe working environment.\nCommitted to safety and following company policies including the use of personal protective equipment.\nCollaborates to troubleshoot cutting systems, components and robots.\nServices components at customer sites on hard automation with mechanical and electrical issues.\nIdeally brings a strong understanding of Welding Processes and Applications, Automation Motion devices, cutting systems, robotics software and controllers in order to collaboratively discuss and address issues, provide training, and navigate and solve complex technical challenges.\nHelps maintain quality standards by testing, calibrating, and running machines according to manufacturer’s specifications.\nSupports team clarity by completing service documentation in a timely and accurate manner.\nMaintains a clean, organized and safe work environment by ensuring all health and safety guidelines are followed both at Airgas and customer facilities.\nResponsible for attending two weeks of company paid training per year focused on advancing the technician's ability to serve our customer base.\nWorks closely with customers as a trusted partner to foster strong relationships and deliver shared success for the customer and RDA.\nMaintains accurate and timely expense reporting.\n________________________\nAre you a MATCH?\nRequired Qualifications:\nMust have minimum of three years of Advanced Automation service experience or two years of mechanical repair experience and completion of Airgas Automation Technician Apprenticeship program. Established track record or completion of the Airgas Apprenticeship program may possibly supersede educational requirements\nMust have a broad knowledge of the welding, cutting and fabrication processes common to the Airgas customer base including but not limited to: Manual, semi-automated and automated welding processes.\nAbility to read, write and interpret electrical schematics. Knowledge of welding and power equipment from many different suppliers.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma with Associate Degree Industrial Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Technical School preferred.\nMust be able to apply mathematical formulas that quantify the costs associated with the processes so analysis and comparisons may be created.\nAbility to be a team player with positive attitude towards other associates, customers and work environment.\nMust be self-motivated, success oriented, mechanically, technically and detail oriented.\nAbility to be flexible and able to “shift gears” in the face of interrupted schedules, canceled appointments and unfulfilled promises.\nMust be proficient with computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.\nThe hourly base pay range for this position in California is $38.00 /hr. - $44.00 /hr.
