The HR Controller leads the budget, forecast and performance monitoring, reporting and analysis of the Airgas HR organization as well as with respect to key KPIs (PEX, turnover, etc.) for the overall employee populations within Airgas entities. This role will be able to navigate from big picture to details and develop them into actionable plans, drive data driven decision making, support strategic and confidential initiatives and lead special projects.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Transformation Project Economics
Oversee actual performance against business case financial objectives with respect to capex, opex, and L9, including both myHR and TOM elements of the project.
Develop tools and processes to identify and manage leading cost indicators to enable proactive cost containment and optimization.
Build financial models and create dashboards and reports to communicate progress to key stakeholders (entity finance and operational leadership), identifying and suggesting action plans to offset cost overruns and optimize performance.
Work in close coordination with the Americas hub Ops Control team to comprehend and apply cost allocation methodologies from BSC and CoE.
Forecast annual budget for AME COEs; track and compile monthly Airgas costs for AME COEs, reporting out monthly on both PEX and Non-PEX.
Provide support to AME on allocation of COE costs, meeting with teams to determine where costs should be charged.
Support COE leaders and AME HR with budget decision-making.
Support Finance team with reforecasting throughout the year and support quarterly efficiency reporting.
Validate accuracy of GBS chargebacks to AME COE, aligning and guiding GBS and entity HR/controllers on proper chargeback methods.
Support AME HR PMO and Group HR PMO as needed and provide reporting and data to COE Leads/teams.
Run State Activities & Operations
Participate as an active member of the Airgas HR Leadership team.
Oversee and maintain relevant HR dashboards, core objectives, and goals, providing regular updates and analyses to key stakeholders.
Monitor run state opex and propose mitigation actions as necessary to assure that business case economic objectives are met or exceeded.
In close coordination with the Americas hub IT and Ops control, assure that myHR allocations from Group for Workday and ServiceNow licensing and other fees adhere to agreed-upon guidelines.
Manage the collection, consolidation, and gap analysis with respect to HR Metrics (PEX, D&I, turnover, etc.) and KPIs for the Americas hub, working with HRBP and CoE pillars as appropriate.
Manage annual budget for Airgas Corporate HR and the HRBP pillar; gather budget data from entity HRBP and BSC to present a consolidated view of Airgas HR costs, collaborating on cost mitigation and optimization strategies.
Forecast annual budget for Incoming Expats (AGEX) and Outgoing Expats (AGRC); track monthly Airgas costs for Corporate HR and monitor achievement to annual targets.
Conduct special studies as directed and support CoEs in cost analysis and strategy development.
Identify and recommend reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics.
Manage and support invoice processing for Corporate HR, HR COE, and HR BSC.
Collect and compile HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including HRIS, payroll outputs, management, and employee surveys; prepare and present findings to senior leadership.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.

Are you a MATCH?
Education: University degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business.
Languages: English required. Additional language skills (French, Spanish, Portuguese) are a plus.
Experience: 10+ years experience in a role focused on business or functional analysis in operations control, finance, engineering, or other functional support areas. Functional experience in HR is a plus. Experience with team management and working with technical teams.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
Expertise in data analysis, qualitative/quantitative analysis, and problem solving to influence decisions.
Advanced financial modeling skills and business acumen.
Digital savvy with emphasis on Google Sheets, MS Excel, and Google Slides.
Skilled in synthesizing complex data and concepts, distilling key points to tell a cohesive and compelling story.
