We believe that a variety of backgrounds makes our team stronger and more innovative.At Airgas, we RESPECT, HONOR and VALUE diversity.\nAirgas is Hiring for a Production Operator in Hutchinson, KS!\nWe are looking for you!\nComprehensive Family Benefits: Airgas offers a full benefits package designed to support your whole life, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, and Disability Insurance.\nSupport for Parents: We offer a 14-week paid child birth benefit to support growing families.\n Future Security: 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match, Tuition Assistance, Paid Holidays, Vacation, and Sick time.\nEarly Access: Your benefits start after just 30 days of employment.\nWork Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm\nRecruiter: Tammie Stacye/\nThe Production Operator 1 contributes to the safe and efficient operation of production equipment and performs various tasks involved in the manufacturing process of industrial and medical gases.\nOperate and monitor production equipment, including filling stations, compressors, pumps, and other machinery, supporting alignment with safety protocols and operating procedures.\nPerform routine quality control checks on products, including cylinder inspections, pressure verification, and leak detection.\nLoad and unload cylinders and other materials using appropriate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.\nPrepare cylinders for filling by visually inspecting, cleaning, and labeling them according to product specifications.\nComplete and maintain accurate production logs, inventory records, and other required documentation.\nIdeally, you bring a strong commitment to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).\nParticipate in daily safety meetings and contribute to a safe working environment.\nPerform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work area.\nTroubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and report major issues to supervisors.\nCollaborate with team members to advance production goals and maintain efficient operations.\n________________________\nAre you a MATCH?\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED).\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks, including bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.\nBasic mathematical skills and ability to read and understand written instructions.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety.\nAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.\nAbility to operate a forklift and become certified.\nCandidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
