Maintains thoughtful time and production records.\nTranslates company policies for the team and champions safety standards as a core value.\nCultivates improvements in production methods, equipment performance, and product quality; fosters an environment that increases the collective effectiveness of the work crew. Collaborates on plans to inspire the team to achieve our shared goals.\nNavigates team challenges and assists associates in finding collaborative solutions.\nRecommends or initiates associate actions, such as welcoming new hires, supporting promotions, managing transfers, guiding team transitions, and providing professional growth and feedback. Provides a warm onboarding experience for new associates and cross-trains the team to ensure continuous support and production.\nProvides assistance to the Plant Manager with regard to planning and managing capital investments for the future of the facility.\nCoordinates the proper inventory levels of supplies and equipment to ensure the team has what they need to succeed.\nCommitted to the shared success of company policies, including a proactive approach to safety and the consistent use of personal protective equipment.\nCreates a safe work environment by contributing to zero preventable accidents and ensuring continuous alignment with company safety rules, standard operating procedures, and governmental regulations.\nNavigates work challenges and assists drivers in finding supportive solutions.\nDevelops load sheets for production loaders to prepare trucks for reliable and timely delivery to our customers.\n________________________\nAre you a MATCH?\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\n70% of the time within an unconditioned work space (i.e. warm in summer, cool in winter). Hazards required the use of personal protective equipment (i.e. hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes). Dry ice is extremely cold, and therefore requires that gloves be worn when directly handling dry ice. \n30% of the time in an office setting (i.e. desk/computer station. \nOn-call and shift work required.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nEssential job function requires occasional lifting and manipulation of dry ice blocks ranging in weight from 5 - 50 pounds each\nRequired Qualifications:\n Education & Experience: A High School diploma combined with extensive experience, specifically including three (3) years of supervising 10+ production workers in an industrial setting.\nLeadership & Discipline: Strong decision-making skills to enforce company policies, plant procedures, and discipline staff in a fair, professional manner.\nAdministration & Communication: Very good written/verbal communication for basic reports, plus organizational skills to manage personnel files, time tracking, and inventory.\n Math & Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, email) and higher-level math skills necessary for budgeting and cost control.\nEnvironment & Physical Demands: Ability to work and lead a team safely in a noisy environment with elevated CO_2 vapor, including the physical capability to occasionally lift 5-50 lb. Dry Ice blocks.\n Preferred Qualifications:\nAdvanced Education: An Associate's degree is preferred\n Industry Expertise: Prior knowledge of operating specific ice plant machinery (block presses, saws, pelletizers, and valves).\nLicensing: An active forklift certification.\n________________________\nBenefits\nWe care about and support our Airgas Families.
