Benefits Start after 30 days of employment.\nHow will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?\nJob Description Summary:\nThe Production Plant Technician has the responsibility for the operation and control of equipment used in air separation, vacuum swing absorption and carbon dioxide plants.; also accountability for the care and maintenance of plant mechanical, instrumentation and electrical devices and equipment. The position will provide support to various types of processing plants in order to support startups, training and leave coverage for normal production technicians.\nRecruiter:\nJacob () Phone: 980-445-9764 Call or Text\nDemonstrate an overall understanding of plant safety rules, regulations, and company safety policies/procedures.\n\nInstill safety in others by being safety minded; models good safety practices.\n\nWork safely in all situations.\n\nIdentify potential maintenance needs; enter them into the work order maintenance management system (Maximo).\n\nPerform all work in compliance with standard operating and maintenance procedures, utilizing current Life Safety Training skills and safety requirements including safe work permits, energy control isolation and IDLs, confined space entry work, hot work, work plans, pre-job discussions, plant safety inspections, etc.\n\nEnsure contractors, visitors, co-workers and others comply with company safety policies/procedures. Issues safe work permit documentation and performs lock-out tag-out of equipment.\n\nAcquire knowledge/ability in all plant operations including processes and equipment.\n\nExhibit instrumentation and mechanical aptitude.\n\nLearn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), corporate procedures; read and interpret flow charts, process piping ISOs, simple schematics, P&IDs, electrical schematics; perform basic math operations.\n\nKeep accurate records and be diligent in documentation and record retention policies and procedures.\n\nDemonstrate knowledge & understanding of control board and operator interface computer consoles.\n\nPerform operator rounds, water samples, truck loading, operations PM's.\n\nMaintain and expect high housekeeping and organizational standards.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned by Plant Management\n\n________________________\nAre you a MATCH?\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED required;\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nTechnical Associates degree preferred\n\n3+ years of technical training or operations experience\n\nAbility to work extended hours/shift work as business needs dictate.\n\nAbility to work nights, weekends and possibly holidays in order to meet shift and on-call requirements.\n\nAbility to be locked in at site for abnormal weather conditions\n\nValid Driver’s License\n\nKnowledge/understanding of instrumentation, rotating equipment and piping systems.\n\nFamiliarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants (EPA regulations, FDA regulations, state/local regulations).\n\nAbility to use computers-knowledge of Google office software.\n\nAbility to work in a team environment; demonstrated self motivated attitude.\n\nGood verbal/written communication skills in order to deal effectively with management and external customers.\n\nQualified in operation of the forklift, man lift and overhead crane is preferred.\n\nHighly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.\n\nMust be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including, hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, 4-GAS monitor, and FRC clothing\n\nFull range of motion; ability to lift 50 lbs.\n\nAble to climb ladders, work off elevated platforms/surfaces\n\nAble to work in non-conditioned environment for extended periods\n\nAble to enter confined spaces for inspection, testing and work\n\nBe comfortable working along on nights and weekends (1-man shift environment)\n\n________________________\nBenefits\nWe care about and support our Airgas Families.
