Welcomes technical guidance and consultation from Airgas Engineering and other experts/Design Authorities as needed.\n\nSafety\nMaintain a zero accident safety record.\nKeep safety as the top priority in every project.\nFollow all applicable HSE procedures and model safe practices in all situations.\nCompletes Good Catches and participation in monthly safety meetings.\nParticipate in the investigation and follow-up of HSE-related incidents.\nProject Design\nDevelop concrete project scope, utilizing input from stakeholders including management, HSE, plant operations, engineering, maintenance, automation and others as appropriate.\nAssists with economic analysis of proposed projects and develops alternative solutions.\nAssists with development of proposals, including technical proposals and supporting documentation.\nDevelop P&ID and system mechanical lay-out.\nCoordinates or conducts configuration of system PLCs.\nCoordinates or prepares electrical & instrumentation diagrams.\nSpecifies equipment appropriate for the project functionality.\nPrepares equipment cost estimates and engineering estimates in support of proposals.\nBuilds alignment and consensus among relevant stakeholders.\nProject Implementation\nPartners with the team to ensure personal and project safety performance.\nExecutes projects in compliance with all applicable company, federal, state and local regulations.\nExecutes projects in accordance with project management procedure including design review, hazards analysis, MOC, PSSR and SOP development and operator training.\nDedicated to guiding projects to completion on time and within budget.\nDevelops engineering packages for bid (RFQs) that result in fair and accurate pricing from vendors and eliminates, as much as possible, field change notices.\nProcures equipment.\nCoordinates or conducts construction and project installation.\nCoordinates or conducts system testing/check-out.\nKey contributor to the installation/start-up team.\nProvides engineering support to operations.\nCommunications\nReports on safety, budget, schedule and quality.\nKeep all stakeholders informed of plans, progress and challenges, and foster transparent stakeholder relationships.\n________________________\nAre you a MATCH?\nTechnical BS degree required; BS Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.\nMinimum of 2 years of engineering and project management experience in a gas or chemical manufacturing business.\nTechnical project experience preferred.\nFamiliarity with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, operation and controls of process equipment utilized in Airgas technologies.\nFamiliarity with project management tools and techniques such as scope definition and changes, project scheduling, critical path, estimating, budgeting, reporting and cost control preferred.\nAbility to interpret and apply Airgas Industrial Management System, and relevant codes and oversight organizations such as ANSI, ASME, NFPA, and CGA.\nAbility to understand and interpret applicable specifications and standards.\nMust be a self starter and capable of moving projects along with minimal direction from his or her manager.\nDemonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and effectively works within a project execution team.\nFamiliarity with vendors and suppliers of process equipment and services preferred.\nExcellent MS office product skills, including Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Project and Word.\nExcellent written and verbal communications skills.\nOther Requirements:\nKnowledge of instrumentation, electrical and PLCs desirable\nAbility to coordinate with other groups within ASG, Airgas, external customers, and suppliers\nSome travel is required, up to 40% of the time\nLight to moderate physical activity is required eg.
