We believe that a variety of backgrounds makes our team stronger and more innovative.At Air Liquide, we RESPECT, HONOR and VALUE diversity.\nAir Liquide is Hiring for a Project Engineer\nThis position is located at our office located at 1250 Rene Levesque Blvd W.,18th floor, Montreal, QC.\n\nSummary Job Description: Participate in increasing the Project Management ability to predict project progress, by delivering a holistic, consolidated and independent view on schedule in order to meet the overall Project objectives / targets.\nKey Responsibilities\nSafety / Quality Assurance / Risk Management/ IMS and general activities \nThe Plant Project Engineer is responsible for but not limited to:\nApply engineering and technical knowledge guided by the Group technical standards and design rules compiled in the Industrial Management System (IMS)\n\nEnsure IMS compliance of the project throughout the project lifecycle to achieve safe, environmentally compliant and reliable operation\n\nAchieve high safety performance by applying all safety rules within the project.\n\nPrepare and conduct the capitalization review and share feedback within the organization promoting a growth mindset organization\n\nDuring the Development Phase:\nThe Plant Project Engineer is responsible for but not limited to:\nSupport Production teams and Zone engineers in the early stage of project definition and estimate development\n\nPrepare the key project deliverables such as technical solution, scope, budget, schedule and risks identification.\n\nCreating scope of work for detailed engineering and Identify applicable internal/external project standards requirements\n\nEnsure the basis of design and engineering deliverables meet Airgas standards and local codes.\n\nDuring the Execution Phase:\nThe Plant Project Engineer is responsible for but not limited to:\nApply sound engineering knowledge in his main domain of expertise: Mechanical, Piping, Process.\n\nAct as Overall Design Authorities (ODA), interfacing with internal/external Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Design Authorities (DA)\n\nSupporting the procurement team in expediting review of vendor documentation, RFI and providing technical support documents.\n\nManage overall project with excellence to ensure safe and reliable delivery and achieve the project KPI's, as defined in the project charter (Technical Performances, Capex, schedule, Risks,...).\n\nContract, manage and challenge external/internal suppliers and contractors.\n\nCoordinate all project stakeholders mainly the Operation teams to ensure the quality and integrity all through the project phases.\n\nManage the project as per Airgas Project Execution Handbook and report regularly on the project status.\n\nManage risks and mitigation plans. Identifying, tracking and mitigating the impact of any risk/change occurring during the execution phase.\n\n___________________\nAre you a MATCH?\nRequired Qualifications\nDemonstrate knowledge in Mechanical, Piping and Process Engineering\n\nGood knowledge of ASME, CSA, NFPA and CGA standards and legislation concerning pressure vessels.\n\nProficient with engineering and technical documents: P&ID’s, electrical one line diagram, site layout drawings…\n\nGeneral knowledge including but not limited to Civil, Structural, Process Control, Electrical and Instrumentation engineering\n\nGood knowledge of project management methodology, tools and techniques\n\nEducation, Experience, and Other Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering: preferably mechanical or chemical engineering.\n\nPreferably 5 to 7 years of experience in engineering in the fields of mechanical engineering and piping.\n\nPreferably 3 years of experience in project management\n\nExperience in the industrial gases sector and industrial projects, ideally in air separation, large on-site facilities, and cryogenics, is an asset.\n\nActive membership in one of Canada’s engineering regulatory bodies is an asset but not required.\n\nManagement and Behavioral Skills\nResults-oriented. Strong leadership and planning skills,\n\nGood interpersonal and communication skills.\n\nGood adaptability.
