This role combines technical leadership and people management, with strong ownership over architecture, execution, and alignment with the broader system (core backend and edge platforms).\nResponsibilities\nResponsibilities:\nTeam Leadership\nBuild, lead, and mentor a team of frontend/full-stack developers\nDefine team standards, development processes, and best practices\nDrive execution, delivery planning, and technical quality\nSupport hiring, onboarding, and growth of team members\nTechnical Leadership\nLead the design of the architecture (including microfrontend approach)\nGuide implementation of a real-time, high-performance C2 application\nEnsure scalability, maintainability, and modular system design\nMake key technology decisions and define development guidelines\nReview designs and code, ensuring alignment with architecture and standards\nCross-Team Collaboration\nWork closely with Core (backend) and Edge (on-device) teams\nTranslate product roadmap and system constraints into technical direction\nEnsure alignment between frontend, backend, and edge capabilities\nDrive integration strategies across:\nReal-time communication layers\nVideo streaming pipelines\nTelemetry and control systems\nSystem Ownership\nOwn the end-to-end frontend domain within a distributed system\nBalance product requirements with technical constraints (real-time, air-gapped, edge)\nIdentify risks, trade-offs, and long-term architectural considerations\nLead debugging and resolution of complex cross-system issues\nWhat Makes This Role Unique\nOpportunity to build and lead a team from scratch\nDirect impact on the core operator interface of a real-world system\nWork across frontend, backend, and edge domains\nInfluence architecture, technology, and engineering culture\nSolve challenges in:\nReal-time UX\nMulti-platform orchestration\nVideo + telemetry integration\nCloud and air-gapped deployments\nRequirements\n6+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack development\n2+ years of experience in technical leadership or team leadership roles\nStrong expertise in modern frontend frameworks (React preferred)\nProven experience designing architecture for complex systems\nTechnical Expertise\nExperience building real-time, data-intensive applications\nStrong understanding of architecture and modular design\nExperience integrating with:\nBackend systems (Java / Python)\nReal-time communication (WebSockets, pub/sub)\nDistributed systems / messaging (Kafka, Redis, etc.) - Advantage\nUnderstanding of performance, scalability, and state management\nSystem & Domain Understanding\nExperience working in distributed systems environments\nAbility to understand and work across backend and edge systems\nExperience in systems involving video streaming, telemetry, or real-time control -
