The IT Manager will be expected to remain actively involved in troubleshooting, system administration, infrastructure projects, and the implementation of new technologies.\nThe role combines team leadership, technical execution, service management, and operational ownership. Working closely with the Director of IT & Cybersecurity, the IT Manager will improve the employee technology experience, increase the reliability of the company’s systems, and build scalable and well-documented IT operations.\nThe IT Manager will support the operational implementation of security requirements across endpoints, identities, infrastructure, and business systems.\nResponsibilities\nManage, mentor, and develop a three-person team covering IT Helpdesk and System Administration. \nTake hands-on responsibility for complex technical issues, system administration, infrastructure changes, and IT projects. \nManage the company’s daily IT operations and ensure reliable, professional support for employees. \nDefine team responsibilities, priorities, escalation paths, service standards, and work procedures. \nEstablish a structured service-management operation, including ticketing, prioritization, documentation, escalation, and performance reporting. \nMonitor open requests, recurring problems, response times, workload, and service quality. \nManage employee onboarding, offboarding, account creation, access changes, equipment preparation, and software provisioning. \nAdminister and improve Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure-related services, and other corporate systems. \nManage company endpoints through MDM, including deployment, configuration, patching, encryption, compliance, and software distribution. \nMaintain and troubleshoot office networks, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, meeting-room technology, and related infrastructure. \nManage servers, backups, storage, cloud services, and business-continuity capabilities where applicable. \nManage the complete IT asset lifecycle, including purchasing, inventory, assignment, maintenance, warranties, replacement, and secure disposal. \nCentralize IT purchasing and define approved hardware, software, and configuration standards. \nManage software licenses, subscriptions, renewals, system ownership, vendors, and external service providers. \nCreate and maintain IT procedures, system documentation, inventories, diagrams, and knowledge-base articles. \nIdentify opportunities to automate repetitive processes and improve operational efficiency. \nPlan IT capacity, resources, projects, and technology requirements as the company grows. \nWork closely with R&D, Operations, HR, Finance, and other departments to understand and support their technology needs. \nSupport the Director of IT & Cybersecurity with the operational implementation of security controls and policies. \nEnsure that IT operations follow company security requirements and promptly escalate suspected security events or risks.\nRequirements\nAt least five years of hands-on experience in IT operations, system administration, infrastructure, or a similar technical role. \nAt least two years in a management position. \nPrevious experience managing or professionally leading a team consists of IT support and system administrator. \nWillingness and ability to remain hands-on while managing employees, projects, vendors, and operational priorities. \nStrong practical experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows and macOS environments, endpoints, networks, and enterprise IT systems. \nExperience with MDM or UEM platforms, device deployment, patch management, encryption, and endpoint compliance. \nGood knowledge of identity and access management, SSO, MFA, permissions, user lifecycle processes, and access reviews. \nStrong knowledge of networks, Wi-Fi, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and infrastructure troubleshooting. \nExperience implementing or operating an IT ticketing and service-management platform. \nExperience with asset management, procurement, licensing, vendors, and IT budgets. \nAbility to personally troubleshoot complex issues and lead technical work through implementation and resolution. \nAbility to balance urgent operational demands with team management and longer-term improvement projects. \nStrong service orientation and effective communication with technical and non-technical employees. \nStrong ownership, independence, organization, and attention to detail. \nGood written and spoken
