The role will focus on contractor management, completions, inspections, handover activities and site-based stakeholder coordination to help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This position offers the chance to contribute to complex mine site construction activities with direct exposure to civil works, SIMOPS and field leadership.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupervise and manage multiple contractors and civil construction projects on site.\nMonitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project requirements.\nReview and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality documentation, and construction records.\nConduct punch-list inspections, defect management, and project close-out activities.\nReview and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.\nCoordinate construction activities with Superintendents, site teams, contractors, and key stakeholders.\nManage contractor interfaces, handover activities, and SIMOPS planning.\nConduct Field Leadership activities and promote visible safety leadership.\nEnsure compliance with Business Management System (BMS) requirements and project governance processes.\nBuild and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across project and operational teams.\nIdentify, report, and manage workplace incidents, hazards, and non-conformances in accordance with site procedures.\nRequired Skills & Experience\nMinimum 10 years' construction experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role within the mining industry.\nDemonstrated experience supervising large-scale civil construction projects in operating mine environments.\nStrong knowledge across civil works including earthworks, drainage, concrete construction, and associated infrastructure.\nExperience with completions management systems and project handover processes.\nAbility to review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.\nProven contractor management and stakeholder engagement experience.\nStrong understanding of Australian standards, mining regulations, construction methodologies, inspections, and HS&E requirements.\nExcellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.\nAbility to establish trusted relationships while balancing safety, quality, schedule, and operational requirements.\nCapable of passing the applicable legislative examination as prescribed under the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.\nDesired Attributes\nStrong leadership presence with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.\nHighly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic site environment.\nCommitted to continuous improvement and operational excellence.\nExperienced in working collaboratively with multidisciplinary project and operational teams.\nAbout Airswift:\nAirswift is an international workforce solutions provider within the energy, process and infrastructure industries.
