This is a long-term contract role working on a residential basis 6-days per week / 10 hours to be based at site (Ras Laffan Industrial City). The role will be part of Multi Billion LNG Expansion Project.\nPlease see details below:\nTitle: Construction Superintendent (Instrumentation)\nStart Date: Negotiable (typically within 1 month notice)\nDuration: 36 months (potential for extension)\nLocation: Site (Ras Laffan Industrial City), Qatar\nWorking Schedule: 6-days per week / 10 hours per day\nJob Purpose:\nProvide front line safety and technical leadership. Ensuring and assuring safe effective and efficient execution of Instrumentation installation activities in accordance with the project schedule and compliance to safety, quality and technical policies procedures and standards.\nKey Job Accountabilities:\nReports to Construction Division Manager\n\nProvide visible safety leadership ensuring a culture of care for people and safety-first\napproach is established.\n\nEnsure timely review and comment of related E&I technical and project non-technical documents submitted by Contractor.\n\nEnsures all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company and contractually defined policies, regulations, and standards.\n\nApply contractual acumen engaging with Contractors on schedule, technical and cost issues.\n\nEstablish and maintain effective relationships and open communications with contractor and\ncompany functional teams (safety, quality, engineering, business).\n\nAttend activity planning and risk assessment meetings, assist contractor in identifying schedule mitigations and improvement.\n\nEnsure safety processes and standards are maintained by assuring Contractor completes daily and weekly walk-through of construction areas.\n\nAttend onsite workface planning and safety meetings and toolbox talks to ensure there is a clear understanding of the activities that are to be performed.\n\nAssure project schedule compliance by working collaboratively with Contractor identifying construction constraints and mitigation actions.\n\nReview of contractors daily weekly and monthly reports analysing performance and verifying progress and status.\n\nMinimum Requirements:\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Sciences or Engineering\nKnowledge and/or Experience:\n10 years' experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.\nTechnical and Business Skills\nIT literacy: Word, Excel, PDF, skills to support reporting, reviewing and communication requirements.\n\nDemonstrates sound written and verbal communication skills.\n\nAbility to read and translate approved for construction drawings.\n\nAbility to use (Read) Navis works (3D model)\n\nAbility to prepare, approve and /or verify Instrument installation plans.\n\nAbility to work within document control systems reviewing, consolidating, and approving technical and project documents.\n\nAbility to read and translate primavera schedules.\n\nAbility to work within advanced work packing systems.\n\nDemonstrate extensive experience of Instrumentation construction installation hook up, pre-commissioning methods and ways of working preferably in a major LNG Project.\n\nAbility to translate Instrument design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, specific to onshore LNG facilities and utility systems.\n\nInstrument equipment including (ICSS) and related Telecom, and other (ELICS) systems experience and familiarity with relevant installation construction processes and relevant industry codes.\n\nNot the job you are looking for?
