Oil & Gas\nFunction\nConstruction\nEmployment type\nContract\nDate published\nMay 25, 2026\nJob Description - Construction Superintendent (Piping)\nJob Purpose\nThe Construction Superintendent (Piping) is responsible for planning, managing, and supervising all piping fabrication, installation, and completion activities for CP Topsides offshore structures.\nThe role ensures that piping works are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with project specifications, applicable international standards, and approved construction requirements while meeting agreed schedules and quality objectives.\nA key focus of the role is maintaining strong interfaces between the Company, Engineering, and Contractor teams to ensure alignment, timely issue resolution, and successful delivery of the piping scope.\nKey Responsibilities & Accountabilities\nSafety, Health, Environment & Quality\nEnsure strict adherence to all HSE policies, procedures, and regulations during piping fabrication and installation activities.\nPromote a visible safety leadership presence through participation in Toolbox Talks (TBTs), Risk Assessments (RAs), and site walkdowns.\nEnsure piping materials and fabricated spools are properly preserved in accordance with approved project specifications.\nEnforce compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and technical specifications.\nConstruction & Execution\nPlan and manage piping fabrication and erection activities in line with the construction execution sequence and project schedule.\nEnsure spool fabrication sequencing is well planned and aligned with installation priorities.\nDirect all piping installation and completion activities to achieve zero carry-over work upon yard demobilisation.\nSupervise and control Contractor and Subcontractor activities related to:\nPiping fabrication\nMechanical Completion\nPre-commissioning\nCommissioning\n\nTechnical & Engineering Interface\nWork closely with engineering teams to resolve constructability issues, clashes, and site constraints.\nReview engineering deliverables for constructability and compliance with technical requirements.\nReview and comment on deviations from approved construction standards in coordination with Contractors and Subcontractors.\nEnsure delivery of a complete and consistent construction dossier, including:\nMaterials and fabricated items\nPre-commissioning and commissioning dossiers\nAs-built documentation\n\nPerformance, Progress & Resources\nMonitor progress, quality, and productivity of piping works.\nIdentify areas of concern related to schedule, quality, or resources, and recommend corrective actions.\nEnsure adequate manpower, supervision, and technical expertise are available to meet execution demands.\nAnalyse construction data and report key issues to site management.\nKnowledge Sharing & Continuous Improvement\nShare lessons learned and best practices with contractors to drive continuous improvement.\nSupport alignment between Company and Contractor teams to ensure smooth execution and issue resolution.\nCorporate & Compliance Accountabilities\nComply with all applicable Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality policies and procedures.\nSupport national workforce development initiatives through mentoring and knowledge transfer, where applicable.\nEnsure full compliance with antitrust, competition laws, and firewall policies.\nMinimum Requirements (Strict)\nEducation\nDiploma (mandatory)\nExperience (Mandatory)\nMinimum 8 years of experience in a Piping Supervisory role on:\nLarge offshore decks\nTopsides\nLiving Quarters (LQ)\n\nProven experience working with multinational teams\nHands-on experience with:\nSpool fabrication and installation\nPiping completions, including:\nLine walks\nHydrotesting\nFlushing and drying\nReinstatement\nFlange management\n\nExperience with piping systems involving:\nCarbon steel\nExotic materials\nGRE piping\nCRA clad piping (mandatory)\n\nTechnical & Professional Skills\nStrong ability to resolve site and construction problems\nExcellent construction safety track record\nGood communication and coordination skills\nStrong working knowledge of:\nInternational piping codes and standards\nDesign specifications\nSafety requirements related to offshore fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up\n\nKnowledge of execution methods and risks associated with:\nSour gas facilities\nLNG production environments\n\nExperience working within large-scale operating organizations (Projects, Operations, Subsurface, etc.)\nNot the job you are looking for?
