Please see details below.\nTitle: Development Operations Engineer\nStart Date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice)\nLocation: Qatar Onshore (Doha HQ)\nWorking Schedule: 5 days per week / 8-10 hours per day or as per project requirement\n--Experience Required-\nKey Job Accountabilities\nThe DevOps Engineer will support the implementation and administration of DevOps practices within client. This individual will be DevOps Subject Matter Expert and will provide hands on support and guidance to multiple teams in adopting and integrating DevOps principles to promote a DevOps culture.\nDesign, implement, and maintain DevOps processes and tools across the organization.\nSupport the development and maintenance of a DevOps roadmap, aligning it with the company's strategic goals and objectives.\nCollaborate with development, operations, and QA teams to streamline and automate workflows, from code commits to deployment and monitoring.\nDevOps platform administration and support.\nImplement DevOps best practices, standards, and guidelines.\nIntegrate security best practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle, including promoting secure coding practices.\nSupport the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.\nOversee Software Composition Analysis (SCA) and Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) practices to manage third-party dependencies and ensure software supply chain security.\nAssist in establishing governance processes and frameworks to ensure compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement in DevOps practices.\nProvide technical guidance and support to development teams in implementing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment strategies.\nMonitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.\nStay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps, security, and cloud computing.\n--Minimum Requirements--\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).\nKnowledge and Key Skills\nMinimum of 10 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.\nProven track record of successfully implementing DevOps practices in previous roles.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments.\nProven experience in working on DevOps initiatives and implementing DevOps practices within complex IT environments.\nStrong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies like Waterfall or Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is essential.\nIn-depth knowledge and practical proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, configuration management, and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles, tools, and platforms.\nExperience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.\nFamiliarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.\nExperience with security tools and practices such as SAST, DAST, and software composition analysis.\nProficiency in infrastructure automation tools like Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in production environments.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively withcross-functional teams.\nProficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.\nExperience with version control systems such as Git.\nExperience with monitoring and logging tools.\nUnderstanding of networking concepts and security best practices.\nAbility to translate business requirements into technical solutions.\nStrong project management skills to support DevOps projects effectively.\nIf you would like to be considered for the position, please apply direct to this advertisement with your CV with contact details.\nNot the job you are looking for?
