The role offers the chance to contribute to industrial projects involving process engineering, mechanical design, mechatronics, machine control systems and equipment safety, with a strong focus on practical problem-solving and operational excellence. This company is looking for a technically capable professional who can help strengthen engineering delivery within a manufacturing and production environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupport engineering activities across industrial process environments, particularly within chemical, food or comparable production settings using semi-automated or automated transfer systems.\n\nProduce and review mechanical design work, including layouts and technical drawings.\n\nContribute to equipment installation and assembly activities where required by the project scope.\n\nProvide oversight of industrial building works linked to machinery installation, including light and heavy construction interfaces.\n\nSupport supervision of civil engineering works associated with equipment and machinery implementation.\n\nApply awareness of high- and low-voltage electrical systems when working on equipment-related engineering solutions.\n\nHelp address equipment safety requirements and CE compliance considerations within project execution.\n\nAnticipate commissioning challenges and contribute practical, technically sound solutions during project delivery.\n\nWork closely with supervisors and production teams to improve outcomes in manufacturing and production environments.\n\nContribute ideas, technical reflections and constructive challenge to proposed engineering solutions.\n\nMust-Have Skills:\nApproximately 10 years of industrial experience.\n\nStrong background in process engineering, ideally within the chemical or food industry, or in production process industries using semi-automated or automated transfer systems.\n\nProven mechanical design capability, including layouts and technical drawings.\n\nExperience within a design or engineering office environment.\n\nMaintenance experience within industrial operations.\n\nKnowledge of machine control systems.\n\nBasic knowledge of high- and low-voltage electrical systems.\n\nUnderstanding of equipment safety and CE compliance.\n\nStrong analytical skills and constructive critical-thinking ability.\n\nAbility to anticipate and understand equipment commissioning challenges.\n\nStrong team-working capability and effective collaboration with supervisors and production personnel.\n\nCommitment to safety as a core working priority.\n\nPractical approach to engineering, combining technical judgement with common sense.\n\nInterest in manufacturing, production and project management.\n\nNice-to-Have:\nMechatronics experience or knowledge (Preferred).\n\nExperience supervising light and heavy industrial building construction (Preferred).\n\nExperience supervising civil engineering works related to machinery installations (Preferred).\n\nBackground in an SME operating within a larger group structure (Preferred).\n\nPrevious experience in cost-conscious environments with tighter margins (Preferred).\n\nInterest in improving ways of working and healthy competition (Preferred).\n\nAbout Airswift:\nAirswift is an international workforce solutions provider within the energy, process and infrastructure industries.
