The role will support projects such as pump replacements, equipment repairs and upgrades, and piping projects, with involvement in FEL, contracting strategy, cost and schedule management, risk management, and project closeout. This company is seeking a technically strong project professional with refinery experience who can lead engineering and construction activity tied to major turnaround planning.\nRequired Education:\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering\n\nRequired Experience:\n10 or more years of project management experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry\n\n5 or more years of experience as a Project Manager with sole accountability for the project\n\nExperience leading routine, multi-disciplinary engineering capital projects from planning through closeout\n\nExperience managing engineering and construction contractors and multiple project teams\n\nRefinery experience supporting capital projects and turnaround preparation\n\nRequired Skills:\nStrong general mechanical or civil/structural engineering background\n\nAbility to assemble and lead a full-time project team to execute capital projects effectively\n\nExperience preparing and implementing Project Execution Plans\n\nAbility to lead FEL processes, complete gate reviews, and secure management approvals\n\nCapability to develop contracting strategy and manage contractor evaluation, bid, and award activities\n\nStrong cost, schedule, procurement, and billing payables management capability\n\nAbility to interview and approve contractor personnel\n\nStrong understanding of contracts and contractor performance management, including cost control, claims minimisation, and change order management\n\nAbility to establish project facilities at site and in contractor offices\n\nStrong safety leadership and ability to set project safety expectations\n\nAbility to engage Operations and Maintenance personnel and define responsibilities clearly\n\nExperience ensuring schedules are issued, reviewed, and used to drive project performance\n\nAbility to maintain cost estimate accuracy and monthly cash flow forecasts\n\nExperience managing vendors, fabricators, and specialty contractors\n\nCommitment to quality processes and project KPI and metric management\n\nAbility to lead risk management planning and deliver presentations to stakeholders\n\nAbility to close out projects in a timely and efficient manner\n\nWorking knowledge of industry recommended practices, design methods, and QA/QC requirements\n\nWorking knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, industry standards, and DOT requirements\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n10 or more years of project management experience in refining and/or petrochemical environments\n\n10 or more years of experience as a Project Manager with sole accountability for the project\n\nLicensed Professional Engineer (PE)\n\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification\n\nAbout Airswift:\nAirswift is an international workforce solutions provider within the energy, process and infrastructure industries.
