The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all control systems are designed, implemented, tested, and handed over in accordance with operational requirements while maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, operability, maintainability, and cybersecurity.\nThis position will serve as a key link between Project Management Teams, Operations, Engineering, contractors, and vendors to ensure project deliverables fully meet operational expectations throughout the facility lifecycle.\n Key Responsibilities \nControl Systems Engineering Support\nProvide specialist control engineering expertise during EPC, commissioning, start-up, and facility handover stages.\nParticipate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations to ensure operational excellence and asset integrity.\nSupport commissioning and start-up activities, including troubleshooting, system validation, performance optimization, and operational readiness assessments.\nConduct failure investigations, root cause analysis, warranty claim evaluations, and technical issue resolution.\nSupport Management of Change (MOC) activities related to control systems and automation assets. \nReliability, Availability & Cybersecurity\nDevelop and implement surveillance programs for critical control systems.\nEnsure high standards of system reliability, availability, maintainability, and cybersecurity.\nIdentify and manage operational risks associated with new technologies and control system implementations.\nSupport the establishment and execution of integrity management programs for control and automation equipment. \nProject & Operational Support\nProvide technical guidance and engineering support to multidisciplinary teams across Operations, Maintenance, and Projects.\nSupport project tie-ins and system integration activities to ensure smooth transitions from project execution to operations.\nMaintain and manage issue registers, ensuring timely identification, tracking, and resolution of critical technical issues.\nPrepare discipline-specific handover documentation and technical packages for operating assets following project completion. \nCommissioning & Start-Up Activities\nSupport high-risk commissioning activities for large-scale and complex projects.\nConduct detailed system surveillance and verification during commissioning phases.\nOptimize and fine-tune control systems to achieve operational performance targets.\nProvide specialist technical support to Operations and Maintenance teams during start-up and stabilization periods. \nLeadership & Stakeholder Management\nSupervise and coordinate activities performed by contractors, consultants, vendors, and service providers.\nMentor and support junior engineers in reliability, integrity, and control systems engineering practices.\nCollaborate with Project Management Teams, Operations personnel, engineering specialists, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. \nHealth, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ)\nEnsure all engineering and operational activities are executed in compliance with company HSE and Quality policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.\nPromote a strong safety culture throughout project execution, commissioning, and operational handover activities.\nSupport risk reduction initiatives and ensure control system solutions contribute to safe and reliable operations. \n Candidate Requirements \nBachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline. \nMinimum 6 years of experience within the Oil & Gas industry.\nProven experience supporting EPC projects, commissioning, start-up, and operational handover activities.\nDemonstrated experience with industrial control systems, automation systems, and process control environments. \nTechnical Skills\nStrong competency in control systems engineering within hydrocarbon processing facilities.\nExperience with control system troubleshooting, system optimization, reliability improvement, and asset integrity management.\nKnowledge of industrial cybersecurity principles related to control and automation systems.\nFamiliarity with commissioning procedures, operational readiness activities, and Management of Change (MOC) processes.\n\nProficient in engineering software, technical applications, and Microsoft Office tools. \nAbout Airswift:\nAirswift is an international workforce solutions provider within the energy, process and infrastructure industries.
