This is a long-term contract and residential role working onshore with possible relocation to EPC site office. Please see details below:\nTitle: Sr. QA/QC Engineer (Welding/NDT)\nStart Date: Negotiable (typically within 1 month notice)\nDuration: 24 months (potential for extension)\nLocation: Site, Qatar\nWorking Schedule: 8-10 hours per day / 5 days per week\nQualification:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering) or International Welding Technologist from recognized University or Institute. \nMaster's Degree is preferred. \nLead ISO 9001 Auditor certification or equivalent experience in the last 5 years. \nAdditional quality-related professional certifications are desirable.\nExperience:\nA Minimum of Twelve (12) years of QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas projects. \nA Minimum of five (5) years in a Leading Senior QA/QC leadership role. \nStrong offshore EPCIC project experience. \nExperience in an International Oil Company or EPCIC Contractor.\nExtensive Experience of:\nISO 9001 Quality Management Systems,\nManufacturing inspection and certification processes,\nOffshore construction methodologies,\nWelding, NDT, and advanced inspection techniques,\nInternational codes, standards, and industry best practices.\n\nProficient in the English language (both written & spoken).\nLeadership skills and experience to motivate and manage QA/QC Teams to achieve a high-performance level. \nExperience of working on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.\nExperience in using computer programs, MS Office, database management, spreadsheets, and e-mail communications.\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:\nPromote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other Company HSE procedures in all activities.\nCarry out work in compliance with Company values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed Company priorities and objectives, Company Technical Referential standards and procedures, and good industry practices.\nReport to QHSE HEAD.\nProvide professional technical guidance, with full responsibility of a Lead position and accountability, to ensure Quality Assurance and Quality Control, across quality activities within Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Start-up projects in offshore topsides/Jackets Oil and Gas EPCIC Projects.\nDevelop and update projects’ quality requirements, technical specifications and procedures relevant to O&G projects \nEnsure and monitor full compliance with Company Standards, Shell Dep’s, and applicable International Codes throughout the projects performed, which shall be addressed in the relevant Project Quality Plans (PQP).\nPrepare the Project QMS documentation in accordance with Company requirements. Manage and follow-up on implementation of QMS compliance requirements in Contracts.\nAct as a PMT Focal Point for Corporate/external audits. Coordinate with Project Team for planning and conducting Company second party audits on Contractors and participate in assigned audits during contracts execution.\nGuide subordinates (call-off) and Project Team on various activities related to latest version of ISO 9001 Standard, QMS system documentation and certification requirements.\nPrepare Project Quality Plan (PQP) in coordination with the Project Team. Ensure that EPIC Contractors required Project Quality Plan (PQP) is established and adhered to throughout the Project Life Cycle.\nReview the EPIC Scope of Services (SOS) and Scope of Work (SOW) and ensure that Company quality and technical requirements are incorporated which include Contractor/Supplier’s QA/QC and relevant engineering and construction deliverables and any other Technical / Company System documents.\nParticipate in pre-qualification of EPIC Contractors/Sub-Contractors and Vendors, as required, monitor and enforce compliance with ISO 9001, Company PML/SML, etc.\nParticipate in EPIC technical bid evaluation of the Bidders to ensure that Company quality requirements as per the corporate standards are included, addressed, and understood.\nReview Contractor/Supplier’s engineering and construction deliverables with specific emphasis to QA/QC and coordinate with relevant engineering discipline specialists on issues related to materials/corrosion/special processes etc.; to enforce compliance to contract requirements.\nEnsure deviation & non-conformance control system is implemented to meet the departmental compliance requirements. Verify the resolution of deviations related to corrective and preventive actions and proper closure of NCRs and CARs.\nLead multi-discipline QA/QC Team (call-off) within the Project Teams and ensure that the Inspection Test Plans and procedures are in place and adhered to throughout the project life cycle.\nNot the job you are looking for?
