If that sounds like you, we'd love to have you on our team.\nJob Summary:\nThe Accounting Assistant will provide general accounting and clerical support to the accounting team by handling a variety of tasks related to the accounting function.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities*:\nPerforms general accounting duties as assigned.\nCompletes basic data entry tasks including logging transactions and other information.\nEnters data from job documents into electronic database.\nVerifies data/entries by comparing source documents.\nWill be responsible for other clerical duties as needed for the accounting function; scanning, copying and filing of documents. \nCollaborates with other departments and researches information as needed.\nFollows all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety.\nOther duties as assigned.\n* Duties may vary by location.\nMinimum Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\n2+ year’s office and/or related clerical experience.\nFast, accurate data entry or keyboarding skills\nGeneral computer competency is required, including a minimum of 1-year experience Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.\nMust be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing.\nAbility to work overtime with little notice; weekends hours may occasionally be required.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHVAC industry or construction experience.\n2+ years accounting assistant experience\nBasic accounting knowledge\nAdditional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nCustomer service mindset.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAble to work in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.\nWillingness to learn and be a part of a team.\nPositive attitude and a team player.\nAbility to build positive relationships with customers, both internal and external.\nWillingness and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.\nSafety mindset and acceptance of a safety culture.\nWorking Conditions:\nOpen office environment.\nFast-paced environment.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to lift/move up to 10 pounds frequently.\nFrequently performs tasks requiring bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching.\nMust be able to adhere to long periods of standing, walking or sitting.\nAbility to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds to operate phones or other office equipment safely.\nWith natural or corrected vision, able to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception.\nAbility to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others. \nAbility to enter text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard or 10-key numeric keypad.\nMust be able to use arms and hands to reach overhead, signal, grab, hold, lift, turn, push and pull objects and tools.\nAirtron is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
